We spent our one year wedding anniversary in this hotel and it was very nice! Rooms, pools, food & hospitality all was perfect!!!!!!!!
As for the animation team: they were very nice!!!! We loved the tunisian guy who did the stretching and dancing classes.
It is so relaxing! We advice everyone to go there!
Great now its change
This is the second time i have stayed in this hotel the other was in jun 04 where it was ok but the hotel has now undertaken a complete staff change from management down it was Fantastic. Food was much more varied as well as enterainment great for couples and families. One of the best 5 stars in Sharm.

I have just returned fom a week at Pyramisa (22nd - 29th May) and must say I had a fabulous time and cannot believe the other reviews on here. The staff were the most friendly I have ever encountered, the food was fine (I hadn'd expected gormet cuisine for the money I'd paid), in fact the breakfasts were superb, the swimming pool amazing and the spot for snorkelling was amazing. I think you need to go with an open mind - you get what you pay for. If you love snorkelling and want some sun, then for value I think the Pyramisa is brilliant.
You get what you pay for. We were a couple in our late twenties with no children and booked the Pyramisa on a late deal booking for one week which was long enough at this hotel, which really does have the potential to be much better. I will start with the negitivities of this hotel, and move on to the better points.
We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Pyramisa. Have to say we were disappointed with the overall standard of the hotel. Although supposedly 5* - we werent necessarily expecting the sort of 5* hotel you might get in the UK, its more the equivalent of 3*. First impressions werent good as we bullied a bit by the front of house staff as arriving late we wanted to go straight to our room, but were more or less frog marched to the restaurant. The reception area has what is supposed to be a waterfall, falling down to the next floor, but this is empty and makes the place look run down. The water chute in the pool was out of use as well... The decor is very dated and shabby in the general areas.
If only I had found this site before my partner and I went to this hotel we would have gone to a different one so please read on.......This was our 5th time to Egypt and having been in 4* & 5* AI before we were not expecting any unpleasant surprises, but we were in for a great shock.
I stayed in the Pyramisa for 10 nights returning 8th May 05 and thought I would initially warn you about some things, but definetely encourage you to go there and see for yourself.
Just returned from the Pyramisa this morning (2 May 05) so most of my memories are still reasonably fresh in my mind although I admit to drinking more units of alcohol than the medical profession would recommend.
Spent a fortnight with my husband in this hotel last year. After taking all inclusive trips to Mexico in a 4* hotel in the past I had high expectations. How wrong I was!
My family of 5 just returned from a much needed and long awaited holiday from Egypt traveling along with another family of 6. Our families usually travel and stay in 4* type hotels so we made the decision to try the locally owned Egyptian hotel chain, Pyramisa for our stay in Sharm. After all, it was rated 5* and looked amazing on what few photos that were available on the website -----------------------. I found absolutely no information from previous travelers on websites such as this one. I wanted to fill in the gap so that any future decisions about this hotel by anyone visiting this website would have the full info to make this decision. After weeks of emailing with the reservations agent for the hotel, our group booked a 3 bedroom 2 bath beach front villa with a private pool at all inclusive status. Sounds great, huh! Well, it wasn't all that it was advertised to be. On our nightime arrival, our first impression of the hotel was that several of the lights on their sign were burned out. Check in was extremely confusing...I should have known from the first impression that the whole week was not going to be 5* quality. The villa was awful. The floors were filthy, the A/C wasn't working, the water pressure was a trickle rate with only 5 min. of hot water. It was sea-view (with the beach quite a hike away) and the main hotel for the all inclusive was literally a bus ride away. After much negotiations, the management moved us into the main hotel the next day. With no non-smoking rooms, as promised, in the entire hotel, the rooms were very plain, medium space, very low amenities...maybe a 3* international rating. At least the A/C worked, and the hot water made it through all 5 of us to bathe and we could walk down the stairs to the restaurant areas. I have to say though, the manager bent over backwards to try and accommodate us as best he could. The view from the balcony (although we could visit with our neighbors from our balcony) was beautiful of the pool and Red Sea. The food was good...not great, and most of the staff tried to make us feel welcome. The diet coke was scarce...and they rationed it by saying "all finish with diet coke" until one of our party members through a fit about the lack of soft drinks. The resort entertainment was very good with themed shows at night and animation teams for the children. They did prepare a very nice birthday celebration for our daughter on our second night there. The pool was very large and very nice (although cold...not heated)...although the water slide attraction for the kids was broken and had been for a long time. Beach chairs were scarce and if you left your seat for very long, someone would move your belongings. That should be indicative of the type of clientele this resort attracted. The resort does cover a large area of beach line in Shark's Bay and is only a 6 minute ride to Naama Bay. Overall, after learning whose palms to grease with generous tips, we had a nice time...just stayed out of the room as much as possible...and tried to enjoy the "resort" amenities that obviously provide this hotel its 5* rating. If you don't mind the room...and your expectations are low...and you want lots of space to roam and the security of being enclosed in a resort with kids...and you don't mind the buffet crowds for food...and lack of Westernized customer service...and fighting for your beach chairs all the time, then this is the place for you! Oh, and check out was a nightmare as well! They charged us a 3% "service charge" for using VISA that was never discussed or disclosed. The decision is a hard one...however, I don't think I would do it again. My advice is to stick with an international hotel chain that is probably held to a higher standard than our Egyptian counterparts!
