... we watched it in the Irish pub with a group from England, and the sea as a backdrop. It was great to see the lads start off with a win, hopefully it continues in that fashion! Our last day on the island was spent recovering, with Dan not even getting out of bed until 2pm.

Thankfully our boat back to Bali the next day was bigger, which meant the waves were less of an issue, and we both managed to grab some sleep (no phones stolen this time though!). We had one night in ...

... as we dined, spotting frogs from the nearby stream, leaping around the restaurant floor. The next day, we'd booked to visit the Ubud Yoga House for a session. After climbing out of our valley we followed a winding path through thick scrubland, up and down hills full of terraces of rice paddies and crossing over streams and rivers. Arriving at the venue, a small wooden hexagon shaped building, we were rewarded with 360 views across the lush green rice paddies, which shortly due to ...

But once we were settled in, it was amazing. ...

... you have to buy a plastic coin which acts as an Oyster card and when you've completed your journey you slot your token in the machine and out you go. A bit old school but all the same, it works. We went straight out for food, having come from China you'd think noodles would be the last thing on our mind, but after all the time in China it became second nature so there we were, sat in Chinatown slurping down a bowl of vegetable noodles. We found China expensive but ...

... with a kite extended from the roof of the truck past the tailgate. It was like everyone had taken off the afternoon to go to the see and fly kites. In the distance, I could see huge kites flying in the air. Bigger than you would believe. Some had tails that looked like they were 1 meter wide and 25 meters long. I didn't take any photos from inside the van, but I'll try really hard to remember the pictures in my mind. I arrived in Kuta, and oddly enough, I immediately felt lonely. ...
