    ... of panic, he was able to recover them from the clutches of the scanner where they had fallen from his tub. I think the funniest part of the story is that just 10 minutes prior he mentioned how much he was looking forward to becoming well experienced travelers and getting through travel stations smoothly.

    ... a beach with only a handful of people around, in a mega-resort town like Cabo? How can you not take advantage of it, especially when the pool is literally ten feet from the sand? And it's not like the pool is anything special - the Solmar is fairly old and is a far cry from the over-the-top blinged-out resorts that are popular nowadays, making the beach a far more appealing option.
