Friday ,Saturday and Sunday were 3 great days skiing at Sun Peaks Ski Resort. Kids are flying now ,doing blue runs no dramas and enjoying "getting air". The resort have really got the equation sorted- a child friendly lift accessing a terrain park and easy slope stays open after the main lifts close. You can keep an eye on the kids at this time …
Another Mountain Town
... Seems to be another nice mountain town in the
Okanagan Valley, with splenty of vineyards nearby. Since we got into
the Okanagan valley, the camping has been much warmer than we were
expecting. Apparently this area stays much warmer in the winter, and
the locals get to enjoy a longer growing season for fruits and veggies.
There were plenty of farmer’s markets in the area that were still
selling lots of fresh produce.

The day after that I checked out Columbia University, which has a really nice campus. Then I went back to Midtown and checked out the Chrysler building, which has a pretty Art Deco lobby, and looks cool from the outside, too. We heard stories of RVs being taken apart at the border so we took Lisa's advice and crossed at a smaller station east of the 5. We drove right up to the guard, answered a few questions and went on through. The drive immediately went mountainous. We simply evoked Wayne's Rule and put the gear into low and chugged along. Snow balls, Sunshine & Shuswup Lake
... stayed back. The rest of us followed. Everyone who thought to overtake us, saw the cop, slowed down and came back inline. Mind you we were all travelling at 110 in 100 zone. The cop set this speed, no one was in front of him. The following game continued for quite a while when the car cop started to slow down to 100, in the hope, it seemed that the car would overtake just so he could get him. The cop got his wish, the car ended up overtaking, the cop swooped on ...
