    ... 66 Museum is located and took a couple of shots of the museum, but did not take the time to go through the museum.

    We also quickly ran into Oklahoma City for Fred to grab a geocache and then it was on to Kansas.

    After setting up in the campground, I stepped outside and saw the pink sky from the sunset and snapped at picture.

    We continued our trip east on I-80 passing farm fields of corn, soy beans and plants we could not identify, it got a little monotonous.     Today started out great. We arrived at Fort Smith National Historic Site just before lunch. It was very overcast, which meant fabulous temperatures at a location that requires walking between multiple buildings. Fort Scott was a military site in the 1840s that was shut down & auctioned off in the 1850s. When the Civil War began, the site became useful again and was reopened by the Union.
