We stayed in a clean but basic 8 bed dorm room with en-suite. It was fine for what we needed it for. The food was very good, although service is very slow, food comes out when it's ready rather than all at once, and the restaurnant are is a wierd cross between a canteen, an after dinner lounge and a poolside bar. It's very odd... All in all though it is comfortable and affordable.

Welcome to Exmouth
I read a lot of travel blogs and really feel for those intrepid travellers who take their first steps on their journey and promptly fall into a flaming pit of lava, figuratively speaking of course. Well that experience finally happened to me on this trip. The wake up at 3.42am wouldn't have been so bad if people screaming on my echoic street hadn't …
Searching for Whale Sharks
Well it wasn't much better. We woke up to another very overcast day and it looked like it was going to rain. This was the day of our Whale Shark swim with Ningaloo Blue - www.ningalooblue.com.au and the whole reason we travelled up here. If there is rain the spotter planes cannot go up and try and find the whale sharks and with visibility being …
Tenacity finally pays off!
To our astonishment there was blue skies in the morning and no sign of black clouds. The crew on the boat were impressed with he fact that I was game enough to come back for more. There was a really nice Italian couple that were on the boat the day before and they managed to get on with us again. The day could not have been more different, one of …
A Rip Snorter!
So yesterday I went swimming with whale sharks!! It was so exciting because that was one of the things I had really been looking forward to doing, and I was not disappointed! It was awesome! A rip snorter of a day! The guide actually said that! heehee We left on the boat around 8:30 am and went to a reef area that's relatively shallow so we had a …
A check in
We worked out we had been in the Tent for 5 weeks, and as the nights are getting colder, we checked into a 2 bedroom , family motel unit. Exmouth has some big Caravan Parks that are mostly full, because people access Ningaloo Reef from there.
It was a joy to sleep in a King Size bed, and we enjoyed it for two nights. Since then we have …
