Despite almost continuous rain all day I have had a ball. First we rode some narrow lanes to a hilltop from which we would have had good views of Jeruzalem if it hadn't been raining and then on to the picturesque town of Ptuj for coffee. From there we had the option of a long ride via a corner of Croatia or a short almost direct ride ride to Novo Mesto. All the others opted for the short option but I decided to take the long one on my own and rely on the sat nav to get me to my ...

    Trip Down Memory Lane

    ... truly unfortunate.
Tata joined me in my yoga practice this morning on the balcony, It was wonderful to do something so special with him. Probably because it was right over the other side of town in the suburbs. We finally found it about 2am. We were lucky, we had the 6 bed dorm to ourselves. It was a really nice place (we thought at the time anyway) it was really clean, pretty new looking, cheap, had a nice bathroom and the ...

    To Slovenia

A travel blog entry by lrbeard on Mar 01, 2013

... to there we soon found out there were two sections to the hotel and we were apparently in the fancy one! We had a doorman take our stuff up to the room and it was an awesome room. Much bigger than what we are used to, big flat screen and lots of free stuff. They also have a gym and a pool here so I'll be using those sometime tomorrow! We got settled in and watched some tv and then it was time for ...
