7/31 Santa Rosalia to El Bruno 15 miles

It was hard to leave the comfort of our cool room, but at 8 am we dove into the heat (low 80s' only). The sun was still low in the east but powerful nevertheless. Tall cacti were silhouetted against the sun and the Gulf of California. The relatively low hills managed to quickly wipe me out. 8 miles/13km up the road we took a break at a small store in the small town of San Lucas where I immediately planted my face ...

After being in the marina at Santa Rosalia for about a week, we were ready to get away from the docks and see something new. In the guidebooks, Chivato is legendary for its shelling, and things didn’t seem that bad as ...

    Baseball Squad
I started a baseball team with the 5th and 6th graders a couple of weeks ago. Actually, I have an age range from 8 years old to 16 years old, which always makes it more fun when the 16 years is throwing the ball as hard as he can to the little guy.
Starting a baseball team is not as easy as I thought it would be. We take things for grant in the states because everything is very well organized: games, uniforms, equipment, kids ...

I never imagined two people could do so much in just two days of work. I will explain........

My boss (Katie) and Cathy (the nurse) came down to Laguna San Ignacio to give a workshop about UTI´s and Blood Pressure. These ladies were absolutely amazing. The energy that they possessed instantly was transferred to those around them. I felt like they were able to fit 3 hours in one. ...
