Our journey began with a job offer. 4 days after a job loss followed a great job offer. To celebrate and take advantage of time we had and the thought of not knowing when the next journey would be we booked a trip and left just hours later. Phoenix Arizona, beginning at the Pointe HIlton Tapatio Cliffs Resort.

My first live blog for a long time. Finally caught up with my blog. So I'm currently hanging but in good spirits. Think I'm going to have a day off the booze. Just had a coffee outside and got chased by huge bug, nearly smashed my laptop on the ground in the process but luckily didn't drop it. Just been catching up on my notes and stuff.

Got up nice and early knowing that I had a long ride ahead of me. Phoenix was about 400 miles away and on my bike that is a day of punishment. I got on the road at 8:30 just in time to test out the 405 and the LA traffic. It was not that bad on my bike but if i had to be in that every day in a car I would be banging my head into the searing wheel. I made it onto the "the 10" and was on that for the entire day nothing ...
... Chapel of the Holy Cross, as well as other red rock formations. As we got closer to Phoenix, the scenery began to change. And then, we came up over a hill, and there were saguaro cactus as far as we could see. I love how they just suddenly appear. We drove through the awesome saguaros and other cactus, and then got to Phoenix.

Our stay was great. A few pools/ hot tubs throughout the property to explore. Some hot tubs were not hot, they were pool water luke warm. The property is fun to walk around. HIlls and rocky.
