    Great place for families.

Great place to stay, especially for families. A daily resort charge but there is a water park, golf, tennis, spa, and a ton of pools. The grandkids enjoyed the water park (you can get extra passes for guests) where we spent most of our days. We ate the buffet one evening at the Cascades, right in the water park which was OK. I was told they will be renovating next year to update the facility, which is good. My king suite was nicely appointed (towels are huge) but was showing its age. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Bad: Cleaning the room next door (vacuum) at 10:40 p.m.! Was told this was not unusual. Lots of hills to walk but they do offer shuttle service if needed. Parking is at a premium.

Our stay was great. A few pools/ hot tubs throughout the property to explore. Some hot tubs were not hot, they were pool water luke warm. The property is fun to walk around. HIlls and rocky.

With a long weekend looming, it was time to drive to Phoenix to visit the grandkids. Since they are now both in school, I like to take advantage of the long weekends to spend time with them.

Since my son had moved, I tried the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs. I like to stay somewhat near them and this sounded good. It was close by and during …

I think that good brakes and good tyres are essential, and especially as we will be on the road for the next eleven months. The decision was made to replace all six tyres. Our vehicle now has six new shoes and we feel much safer to ...

Once I woke, the campgrounds were already bustling with activity; people were eager to hit the road and head off to their next destination. I was no exception. I looked like a drown rat, and felt slightly defeated. It was overcast, windy, and a chill in the air sent shivers right through my jacket down to my core. What happened to that desert heat?! Instead of making ...

... We also booked day trips with Yebo Tours from Masindi to Murchison National Park and with Kaberole out of Fort Portal to Kibale National Forest and environs. Both companies provided very good service and they helped to make the overall trip a super experience.

I’m glad I did because 2 of the bags were over 50 pounds. I was able to redistribute everything to get all 3 checked bags under the limit. We were on the road by 7:45. I filled the tank one last time (around $7 a gallon again!) and we headed to the rental car return. As I mentioned before, we put about 1,200 miles on the ...
