Our journey began with a job offer. 4 days after a job loss followed a great job offer. To celebrate and take advantage of time we had and the thought of not knowing when the next journey would be we booked a trip and left just hours later. Phoenix Arizona, beginning at the Pointe HIlton Tapatio Cliffs Resort.
after the 13.5 hr flight, I was understandably tired, but the excitement of being overseas for the first time ever, and being so far away from my family, kept me on my toes as I did what I could to navigate between the international & domestic airports!

After the feeding, we sat down for a lunch/snack & then walked down to the path where we parted ways with Mikaela & Isabella who were going to go visit JJ at work & then head home for a nap.
We then found a place for Kat & Jon to eat lunch since neither had packed something for lunch & ...
... and I usually can handle spicy food. The spice is that intense. There was so much food that we took leftovers back to the room and had them for breakfast the next day.
It was only 9:30 or so when we got home, but it had been such an eventful day that we turned in by 11. We had spent the day falling in love with the unique beauty of the desert and appreciating the desert-inspired design by one of the greatest architects in American history.
... Suzie did not call so I stayed here again.
July 24th-Wednesday- Had 11 phone messages and lots of voice mails- the Suzie had called and I did not get it- Tried to call her back and only got about a minute of talk before being shut off. I will be so happy next month to get my new phone!! I decided later to visit Suzie and Lee. She had said she would be at rehab center a bit after noon. Our stay was great. A few pools/ hot tubs throughout the property to explore. Some hot tubs were not hot, they were pool water luke warm. The property is fun to walk around. HIlls and rocky.
