With a long weekend looming, it was time to drive to Phoenix to visit the grandkids. Since they are now both in school, I like to take advantage of the long weekends to spend time with them.

Since my son had moved, I tried the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs. I like to stay somewhat near them and this sounded good. It was close by and during …

... There is so little room between the seats that you cannot even open a magazine without reclining the seat back. Only three hours left till we land hopefully things will improve. I arrived in Toronto without incident at around 5 PM my flight to Dublin does not leave until 10 PM. Flight was O.K., a little rough, $6.00 for some kind of wrap, all in all your basic flight.

It took us a while to settle in, as I had been following Greg when he drove the motorhome, and I noticed that our tow dolly didn't have running lights, and the turn signals were crossed (when the mothorhome showed a left turn, the tow dolly flashed for a right turn!)

... and it was all nearby. We ate out a lot, what a treat. We went nightclubbing! Yes really. At a really fun place, The Blue Martini. Great music. Great friends..., Kendra and Rhonda. Lots of dancing, smiling and laughing... It rained one afternoon, so I took my girls to a movie, but this movie came with recliners, blankets, pillows and a full waiter service! Ridiculous. Over the top? Living ...

Great place to stay, especially for families. A daily resort charge but there is a water park, golf, tennis, spa, and a ton of pools. The grandkids enjoyed the water park (you can get extra passes for guests) where we spent most of our days. We ate the buffet one evening at the Cascades, right in the water park which was OK. I was told they will be renovating next year to update the facility, which is good. My king suite was nicely appointed (towels are huge) but was showing its age. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Bad: Cleaning the room next door (vacuum) at 10:40 p.m.! Was told this was not unusual. Lots of hills to walk but they do offer shuttle service if needed. Parking is at a premium.

Our stay was great. A few pools/ hot tubs throughout the property to explore. Some hot tubs were not hot, they were pool water luke warm. The property is fun to walk around. HIlls and rocky.
