    Great place for families.

Great place to stay, especially for families. A daily resort charge but there is a water park, golf, tennis, spa, and a ton of pools. The grandkids enjoyed the water park (you can get extra passes for guests) where we spent most of our days. We ate the buffet one evening at the Cascades, right in the water park which was OK. I was told they will be renovating next year to update the facility, which is good. My king suite was nicely appointed (towels are huge) but was showing its age. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Bad: Cleaning the room next door (vacuum) at 10:40 p.m.! Was told this was not unusual. Lots of hills to walk but they do offer shuttle service if needed. Parking is at a premium.

Our stay was great. A few pools/ hot tubs throughout the property to explore. Some hot tubs were not hot, they were pool water luke warm. The property is fun to walk around. HIlls and rocky.

With a long weekend looming, it was time to drive to Phoenix to visit the grandkids. Since they are now both in school, I like to take advantage of the long weekends to spend time with them.

Since my son had moved, I tried the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs. I like to stay somewhat near them and this sounded good. It was close by and during …

    ... Freaky!

I drove us back to the house after we were wildlifed out and we managed to somehow miss the traffic which was good, but I had a major headache from caffeine deprivation by the time we got back and spent most of the evening just lying in bed. I did get a bit of blogging done once it had subsided a bit, and thankfully I had packed yesterday mostly so didn’t have to worry about that as we are on the road again in the morning. Vegas baby! Here we ...

... area) but at the end of it all the toilet seemed to be working well. We crawled into bed to watch some TV and then just as we were brushing teeth and getting ready for bed, I noticed a puddle of water beside the toilet again. Arrggghh! Poor Bob got back onto his knees with the flashlight and saw a hairline crack in one part. He turned off the water for the night and will get a replacement part tomorrow morning.

Do we have fun or what?

The microchip conference goes on every year here and is a major event! Huge! Hopefully we can come back next year ;) They feed Luke breakfast lunch and dinner. We bought a couple dinner meal tickets for me as well. I went to the grocery this morning on a complementary ...

    The Birds:
Uganda is a bird watching paradise. We saw several groups who were clearly there just for bird watching. Lots of safari vests filled with lens filters, telephoto lenses that were enormous, scopes and a wide array of binoculars. These ...
