    ... there was thumping music coming from a few bars but no one in them. A guy got us to go into one bar but it was just rubbish with no one there and far too loud to talk. So we walked around for a bit more but decided it wasn't happening so went back to ours. We were surprised by how few people there were but we were on the tail-end of high season so it wasn't as popular I guess.     ... to the room and watched two films and then went to sleep. Laziest day ever! This morning we woke up. It's still pretty overcast. We lay by the pool for a couple of hours hoping that the sun would come out. It didn't so we headed to the next beach where we had booked a new hostel for the night.     ... d heard some horror stories about getting into Thailand. After arriving in Bangkok we got straight on an overnight train which took us to Chiang Mai in the north. The train journey was quite comfortable. We had a sleeper carriage with air con and managed to get a fairly good nights sleep.     ... Beach Bungalow at Baan Chalai.. After I checked out of Ao pong I got a 50 baht taxi to other side of the island.. I got a nice bungalow, next to the one I had 4 years ago bang on the beach,, I was so thrilled to see it was still basically deserted. Fried rice chicken and a Chang and then hit he beach to sunbathe. A few scattered clouds but still a glorious day.. Finished my time on the beach about 5ish and trekked 10 seconds back to the bungalow to get showered. Once out the shower ...
