This is not my idea of a haven… eventually we make friends with a nice guy from New York and his friend from Burma, along with a quartet of chinese folk sitting next to us. ... longtail boat to arrive so were able to stake out a spot on the side of the boat.

We got situated in the spot we scoped out, hung our feet off the side of the boat, got our books out (we are both reading Wild) then took in the relaxing 2 hour ferry ride to Koh Lanta.
