We arrived at Joe and Joan's and parked Big Mo in their driveway, no worse for the wear and tear. They had a wonderful dinner all planned for us along some of their friends. We had a lot of laughs and were struck again at how similar in mannerisms Joe and Rock are. We stayed overnight and enjoyed their hospitality immensely.
Today we were up at 7am, dressed and had the breakfast at the hotel, Pleasant Stay Inn And Suites.

It was hard to say good-bye to our Odyssey Home in Wheaton but wandered over to the new house while they were doing the walk-through and signing papers….

Soon we crossed Tamm bridge and were in the zoo, passing the new south entrance and the Hermann Fountain, full of sea lion statuary. More fake animals!
We did see real Galapagps tortoises, only slightly smaller than the ones in the park across the interstate. We made a beeline got the brand new pinniped exhibit in the middle of the zoo. They were working on it for over a year and I missed seeing the sea ...

The museum seems to deserve its reputation as a great contemporary craft museum. I was disappointed that they didn't have any furniture on display but I found out that they have had Wendell Castle and Albert Paley shows in the recent past. I'll have to check their current exhibition calendar before ...
