... we set off in search of a liquor store for some bubbles to enjoy in complete comfort on our patio whilst listening to the waves crash on the sand. However, it seems fate was against us as all the liquor stores close at ten - it was 10.15, and not even room service would grant our request for a bottle of Moët. ... one of the new 7 wonders of the world. And now I have been to 5 out of the 7 new wonders of the world :) We walked around and our guide showed us the clever acoustics in the ball court. We also stopped infront of the staircase of El Castillo and if you clap your hands, the echo will resemble the chirp of a quetzal. ... There are lots of souvenir shops with a lot of the usual tat but some nice jewellery shops with vast selections of diamonds which I was swiftly directed away from. We had lunch overlooking the ocean at a place called Jeanie's. Not the best food ever but it was nice just for the view and pina coladas. ... bar, to figure out what to do for supper. We decided to go to the Japanese restaurant. Billy and Kyle went up to see when they opened, and reserve if we could. WE talked to someone there, and they said no prob for 12 of us, and to be there right at 6:30 for when they open. As it was 5:30 we decided to wait in the lobby bar, as it is right beside there. We get to the restaurant at 6:20 and are told there is no room for 12 of us as those tables ...
... then we'd have to stop and wait for them to catch up. At times when I felt like going fast I'd slow up for a bit until I got a big gap between us and the group in front then I'd give the bike a heap of throttle to go fast for a bit, some parts of the track were really rough so I would only do it on the open road parts.
