... but it was tasty and we left after a half hour or so and went back to the hostel and chilled out by the pool until the sun decided to calm down. We googled supermarkets and noticed there's one not too far from here and set off to get some food for dinner and returned just before sunset to put our kit on and head down to the beach for a quick workout. We knocked out a decent effort as we tried different things and utilise the sand a bit ...
... We finally arrived in Natal at around 2130 and jumped straight into a taxi to make the trip to our place down at Ponta Negra. It took about 15mins and we arrived at our hostel just before 2200. We showered and admired the place we were in and how nice it was considering the price we paid. So much cheaper than our tiny place in Fortaleza and so much nicer with our own bathroom, fridge and microwave. We crashed out not after realising the TV in the room had no English channels ...
... shots that were set alight, teaching Brazilians (who spoke no English) international drinking rules, smashing what turned out to be a Brazilian Policeman's drink, twice and meeting a guy who was adamant he was Rachel's future husband, a 6ft 6ish basketball player from Rio who spent the evening calling me his sister-in-law and has decided that the wedding will be in 2 years time and will have lots of Samba....... So save the date ...

Got the bus back to the far end of Ponta Negra where a huge
sandy headland is sliding down into the sea – was happy I was not staying in
the crowds here as the beach disappeared at high tide leaving everyone cramming
the streets, shops & restaurants.
