... three days have been busy! Saturday as said before was spent riding a tandem and it was awesome!! The sun was out and we found lots of coves barely touched by the locals! We tried to spot whales out on the horizon, thought we had but 10 minutes later discovered it was a boat :( Had some amazing steak for dinner then headed out of manly for sydney on the ferry and boarded the bus for a 12 hour drive ...we never ended up stopping at coffs harbour at 5 ...

It only took a few hours to get to Byron Bay. I was under strict orders from Caitlin (the younger sister) not to arrive before ten am, under the threat of severe beatings, nail pulling, and even the potential loss of any of my vital limbs........<br>If I was to reach Byron Bay to wake her up at eight am I needed to leave Brisbane by at least six, there was no way I was going to pass up one last opportunity to prematurely wake her and drag her out ...

... before going to Noosa. Unfortunately having to separate from the 3 lovely girls I've been traveling with as they have longer to travel so stopping off at another place before Brisbane. But it's been great fun and we'll definitely have an Oz reunion back home! There's not a cloud in the sky today, so we're hoping that this gorgeous weather will continue up the coast! After a long night of 14 hours on the Greyhound bus (on which everyone except for me seemed to be sleeping) we arrived in Byron Bay at 9h00 in the morning. The hostel that I had booked wasn't really a hostel, but more a holiday park with all sorts of accommodation; bungalows, private rooms and also dorms. This time I shared my room with 2 English girls, a Canadian girl and a girl from Switzerland ...

I also saw my first (wild) snake of the trip, I don't know if it was poisonous or not and I defintely didn't plan to stick around to find out. We hoped to stay a bit longer in Byron, though left sorting accommodation a bit late so were out of luck, so north we go after three awesome days of sun, sea, sand and surfing
