OCTOBER 30 2009<br><br>Cheryl and Malcolm's at 17 Holdway St. they are enjoying a 10 day trip to Sydney.<br><br>Our first point of call was Springers at Gympie Rd; Lawnton to replace the van’s outside light with LED and check the wiring because turning on this light seems to blow the fuse. Sheila was investigating TV antennas here too and to keep the ...
Kenmore, Queensland, Australia kathandsheila... we stretched out in our own private outdoor cinema for family movie night under the stars. <br><br>The next day was cooler and we just relaxed and enjoyed not having anything in particular to do. The kids played and we read until the early afternoon when we rolled up the circus and headed back to town. <br><br>Another weekend, another adventure and more wonderful memories to add to our collection :)
Laidley, Queensland, Australia ferres... with Kris and Tash for a few days, it has been a lot of laughs and great fun.<br><br>I am loading a few pics of the bus, but i am decided if we will keep the name "Adventure before Dementia" or change it, all suggestions are welcome, but keep it clean guys, Terry still wants to call it. "The Dunrootin Adventures" I know NOT.... Thanks Kris for taking the photos
Coominya, Queensland, Australia trishnterry... a different animal than before. I'm ecstatic that I decided to go the less traveled route and see India, Nepal and China. They made up 6 of the best months of my life to date and I'm eternally grateful for the opportunity to do so. All my buddies have gone back home now though :(<br><br>I will try to add a story a week from the travels up here over the coming months as I kept a diary while I was away.<br><br>Right now, Melbourne is cold ...
Brookfield, Queensland, Australia pokergirl... of this area. They aren't epic mountains but they sure are pretty! Along the way I experienced some of the country hospitality of a farmer and his wife waving at me from their front gate (I was out of my comfort zone and was feeling a wee bit nervous...deliverance was a word that came to mind, if only briefly). Bob Dylan was the music of choice on this pioneering journey and is actually good music on the country roads which I'm sure many the world over would agree to ...
Boonah, Queensland, Australia krissy_annFirst day of our big trip around Australia , we visited a friend near Esk right on the Somerset dam where Brisbane gets their drinking water from. We had a great night and are heading off to Gympie , about 2 hour drive up north to stay at a bush campside with no water or power.
Esk, Australia nachtweh... earrings, to match a necklace she has at home. Naturally this is to match the wedding dress, and as Chris kept telling me, they will be cheaper here than anywhere else! Unfortunately we didn't find anything that was right, but that just meant there was more looking to be done! The next day was Saul's birthday, but with him going to work and having a celebration in the evening combined with the hours we were out and about, we didn't see him! Instead we ventured back into ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia nick.maynard... so much less stressful to organise!!" It is challenging and exciting to go outside your comfort zone and I am ever so grateful now that we did. Our children completed the first term of the year: Dylan in Queensland's inaugural Prep year and Macayle in grade 2. During the Easter break, we flew out to Istanbul where David had an I.F.A.T.C.A. conference and handed over the reigns of TPSec to Stuart from South Africa. I won't recap our adventures as it is lengthy though exciting and ...
Brisbane, Australia gurusToday we were up and ready to go......Warren drove us along with his boys to Auntie Cheries and Uncle Garys....The boys were going golfing with Gary. Cherie, myself and Andy (Warrens youngest boy) were left to relax at the house and enjoy the birds. We did take a nature walk in the afternoon down to the Brisbane river. Lucky Uncle Gary had Tyler as a partner.....Tyler was the winner at the largest amounts of lost balls....I think Gary may be still out on the course today ...
Karana downs, Australia nobertToday was our last day in Brisbane; tomorrow we take the train to the Gold Coast and Surfer's Paradise. In our last day in the city, we started by catching a CityCat ferry in Tuwong headed for the CBD. This was included in the daily transit pass that we had, and it was a lot of fun. It really goes faster than you'd think. We landed across the river from the central city on what's called the south bank. This area is a fantastic public space stretching several kilometers ...
