... in the evening, then ended up just getting some in the hostel. We got a free schooner voucher when we arrived, which was nice, so had a Strongbow, then got a jug of snakebite as it was on offer that night. ... a trip in the Whitsunday Islands. To get to the outer reef required a 2.5 hour ride in a fast catamaran to a spot over 50 nautical miles from the mainland. Once we arrived at the reef we were surrounded by ocean. The reef was visible as a much lighter color on the waves. Unfortunately the snorkelling was quite challenging as the wind was strong and ...

... busses. We got to see lots of residential areas as well as the hotel complexes and swimming pools. Taking the bus back to the main marina to finish the day on Hamilton Island. We have an hour and a half before we have to get the ferry back to Airlie. There is a sculptor's shop at the end of the shopping centre and he does some marvellous things. Lots of dolphins and whales plus many other items. After that we walked towards the ferry terminal but diverted for a coffee ...
