... vines waiting to trip you up, slippery downhill pathways, sheer drops and last but not least, the leeches.

We very quickly got hot and sweaty hiking in the humidity and trying not to fall over the mountain. Along our path we saw an iguana on a tree which was pretty exciting for me...I was the only one to really stop and take photos. When we reached the first waterfall, it was pretty small but the first proper waterfall I'd seen so I'd take it. The water in the river feeding ...

... We went up to a viewpoint where we're going tomorrow to see the sea of fog. It is spectacular there. I can't believe how beautiful it is. There were layers upon layers of mountains so when we looked out we could see about 7 peaks. It was so beautiful.

After we marvelled at the view for a while we then went back for dinner before going to watch the sunset. Fit and Paiboon chose to go for a shower before watching the sunset ...

There were a couple of little shops on the other side of the road so we headed over and attempted to find out where the hell we were. It turns out we were about 10k from where we needed to be. After exhausting all options we ended up practically bribing a shop keeper to borrow a car from a friend ...

... and we ran in to take cover. It was a hotel. We asked if we could eat something but the restaturants had been closed for almost three hours. We must have looked really hungry, though because the man there, the owner of the hotel, said something to a woman and she went away and came back with a bag of bread. The man took it and told us to wait there. He went away and came back for us in three minutes. He had prepared a table in a little room with some ...

... see they've even taught Ronald McDonald to politely bow like a Thai person.
Caught a taxi home, fell into the pool, had a kip. Out of sheer laziness, walked across to the local Italian with my bottle of wine. Salmon carpiccio entre, chicken medallions with Italian mushroon dressing & vegies. Very nice. Shared a glass of wine with Stefano, yarned and chatted. Tried to solve the worlds problems over our lemoncellos and then wandered back down the road to the resort and to bed.
