Some great views out the right side of the bus across the Adriatic sea as we wound around the mountains.<br>Met Mark from Glasgow on the bus to the Old Town and he was staying at the same place as Nonie and me so we walked ...
Dubrovnik, Croatia richlum... way down the other side of the mountain as I arrived in Cetinje. I was quite disappointed by this city. As a matter of fact, I did not stay long at all and decided to head back to the coast to my third city. Again, I started climbing but for a short while and there it was, the Mediterranean and below my destination, Budva. With pure luck once again, I parked the car almost at the entrance to the old city. Budva, is another walled ...
Kotor, Montenegro elaqid... there waiting. I didn't want to seem scared or overly curious by asking either Serbian custom officials or anyone else waiting with me anything as to not cause unnecessary attention to myself. I also kept checking my watch wondering if Darko knew I was here waiting. I had hoped with his government connections he would at least inquire about my arrival since he told me he would pick me up. I drew comfort from the fact Darko was always very punctual picking up and bringing ...

Kotor, Montenegro michlac... Well finding a campsite in Macedonia wasn't quite as easy as we thought (well not that we thought it would be easy anyway really - just hoped!)! It seems that our map likes to put campsite triangles wherever it chooses - not actually caring that there is no campsite there!! The capital of Macedonia, Skopje, was an absolute bloody nightmare & pretty scary to drive through - proper shanty towns with what looked like refugees living there - so ...
Herceg-Novi, Serbia and Montenegro no1pablo... phenomenal! At 6:30pm we grabbed our backpacks (we`d left them at an internet café) and walked out of the town, which seemed to never end. We didn`t get a permission to pitch our tent next to a church. We found some proper bushes in a hill instead, and among them a concrete platform, where we pitched our tent. Kotor surprised us absolutely in a positive way!
Kotor, Montenegro bogna... parked up on the jetty, do you wanna come for a couple of drinks and do some kneeboarding?" So we trawled off to the van, got changed, grabbed the vodka and had a great afternoon on the water (which incidentally is so so calm, even (I) Brad didn't stack it that many times on the board). "Well, we're heading back to my apartment in Herceg Novi overlooking the water, why don't you leave the van and come back to ours for the night?" Great idea! What a ...
Herceg-Novi, Serbia and Montenegro roamingmonk... got the border. Tammy tells the border crossing story quite well so I'll leave that to her. Once we crossed the border, it was amazing. First off, the roads became normal sized almost instantly. One could tell that Montenegro's infrastructure was much better than Bosnia's...at least road wise. There were tons and tons of tunnels carved into the mountainside for the road. And the view from the bus was now amazing....overlooking ...
Niksic, Serbia and Montenegro alexk1018... Some sketchy Ireman was telling a Norwegian couple (they must have come to see the fjord) about land deals in Montenegro, swearing that in five years the value of everything will double. "Could be the chance of a lifetime!" The narrator was an enthuastic sort with a talent for suggestion. He was probably just a taxi driver back home but he did make life sound interesting. But if he was really a taxi driver... then he was probably just working on some other scam!
Kotor, Serbia and Montenegro fatduck... ferry terminal to way up my options (the ferry is out - 24 hours just to go a little north!) I then go back to the Old Town, and walk the perimeter wall, which is amazing! - about 2km long, around the entire perimeter of the Old Town, with stunning views, and I take more than a few photos and mini video's. Thw weather helped, but it was an amazing walk. I spent 2-3 hours doing it, but I could have stayed all day
