Wonderful place to stay, huge rooms, clean, tidy, the pool was amazing, breakfast buffet was delicious and the range of food to choose from was huge and the staff were helpful. Tuk tuks were everywhere and there were plenty of massage places just down the road and a 7/11 just across the road which was super convenient. We loved our stay at Patong Paragon.

I've been to Thailand before, twice before this trip, but this time it was a little different. This time I travelled with my friend Emma from work. We went to Bangkok for 3 nights then Phuket for 8 nights. It's a holiday I will never forget. We had massages everyday, you can't really complain when they range in price from $8 NZD to $20 NZD. …
... Lena and her bf , who sarah and I met in Peru, are on Koh Phi Phi right now and are heading over to Koh Phangan in a few days. We will be gone. Then there's Janelle, the daughter of a girl I work with Dana, is in Bangkok after we leave. It's pretty insane. It would have been so nice to see anyone from back home so far away from home. But then again, we have met lots of people, a lot from Canada, which sometimes makes it more interesting. A car ride to Thongsala Pier by our ...

I remember the poor Italian engineer in Milan who told me to earn only 600 Euros per month. Then we wonder if the best brains leave our country and I wonder what will happen when Italy will remain a country of old retired people and immigrants without qualification. Meanwhile our ...
... die for all for backpacker prices. That's the power of late booking on the Internet - during the low season some deals are sensational. This was one of them - we'd struck lucky. A cursory walk to Phuket town to enquire about hiring a motorbike reinforced my opinion that the town was the place to be and that we shouldn't join the lemming like rush to the beach resorts where prices are sky high and the food ...
... my blue sticker so hopefully they let me on. A guy sees Marks blue sticker and calls us over. We explains that we will now go in a minibus with 12 people as four have arrived we need to wait until another 8 from our coach turn up before we can leave. We joke between ourselves as we all know how long the queue was, but luckily its only about a 15/20min wait until we have the right amount of people and even though I lost my sticker he will let me go :) phew! I think ...
