Patong Beach Lodge

If you find yourself in Patong we suggest you go down to Phuket town, get on the 10am ferry to Yao Yai, it's only 100B per person, and stay at the Yao Yai Resort for half what you'd pay in Phuket - that's where we are now ... it's bliss ... but more about that in our next entry !

... our guesthouse, after 16 hours of traveling on 5 different modes of transport, however this plan was quickly dashed as we were shown to the TEN bed dorm we had booked, so we resorted to plan B which involved lying on the beach all afternoon. I went along to try and find out more info about this placement, only to find that it hadn't really been confirmed and they had no details. By this time it was 7.30pm and I still had no school. ... Frenchman and Australian, it is lively and colourful with plents on betting going on. One of the funniest things about Thailand to me is that you can buy beer anywhere - their pharmacies sell beer!! While not an isolated paradise anymore it is still an interesting place to spend a few days, not sure if I could stretch it to a week. The beach is still good and there are hundreds of beach chairs on offer you just need to be early.
