... a lot of time in there. We also liked the ClubLime restaurant, free wifi and a chatty waitress who thought Paul looked like Kevin Federline - which I found very funny and Paul ... not so much ! One night we went out to Molly Malone's and shared a shepherd's pie that was so huge we couldn't finsh it ! We watched Birgmingham City beat Sunderland in another Irish Bar and wandered down the main strip a couple of times. Patong has a ...
Patong, Phuket, Thailand emmaandpaul... is likely to want to buy. The only places actually built on the ground is the Mosque and the graveyard. When we arrived back at the pier we were taken to a local restaurant, very modern, for a Thai lunch - delicious. Although it rained both at the beginning of the day and when we got to James Bond Island it certainly didn't stop us really enjoying our day although it was very long and tiring.
Patong, Phuket, Thailand susanel... case in Asia, the boat was well over-booked and we had to make do with a straw mat at the entrance to the boat, beside the main doors. In order to reach the toilet, not that you would want to visit the s@$t hole in the floor, you had to crawl on all fours over peoples legs and belongings. It was carnage, and as the boat started up, for the second time that week there was a bad feeling in my stomach that I might just die. About 9ish the staff, who amounted to nothing more ...
Phuket, Thailand robbiedinho... I had a school and it would be in the same area of Bangkok as Alison, which was great news, as it meant we could get an apartment together and also a few other girls from our course. It was teaching at a high school, which was what I wanted to do. I would be the only one from our course there, but there would be a lot of other English teachers, so there was a good opportunity to me other people. It was great to finally have a school and we made plans to be back in Bangkok on the ...

Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia kalle69... which is very appropriate, as I (Laura) love the stuff! More to come tomorrow! Peace! Your instructions for this week- order a tropical beverage at the restaurant of your choice and recall a funny story about Steven! (make one up if you don't have any yet...I assure you you will have one soon, ha!) Laura for S'n'L
Phuket, Thailand snlmalaypen... to her, after her lunch of fish and chips she hasn't coughed once! Deep fried cures everything! We all jump into the pool to cool off and then get ready for dinner. Dad insists that we're no longer eating at any "****** places" so I suggest we try the Holiday Inn next door. On the way Rob and I drop off a bag of dirty washing which costs THB50 per kilo. There's no way I'd be washing stranger's clothes for that amount of money! I've kept our undies ...
Patong, Thailand tric1003Got into Phuket on Monday evening and spent 2 nights here about 100 m from the beach. Phuket was amazing for me (Jess) as until Malaysia, I'd never been to Asia with the exception of Singapore and Japan which are very organised and modern. In the guide books, everyone speaks badly of Phuket "was lovely and simple 20 years ago" and if you're looking for unspoiled beauty, they're right, but it was still a trip to go and see the ...
Phuket, Thailand capravr... swimming area only to discover that some smaller boats had ignored the signs and mored up on shore. There were also several tourists canoing inside the zone too. This was a big problem as there were so many boats and canoes all competing for space with no regard for the people actually swimming there! Several of us had collisions with them - I am not surprised if there were reports of people severely injured by propellers as it was incredibly dangerous!! Back on ...
Patong, Thailand weebleandbob... with compass wasn't coming. Then Scotty forgot the charts. Great. We took off, sped round for an hour or so and found a spot to jump in. It was just as you'd imagine if you'd been invited out on a boat in Thailand. No one around, beautiful blue water, lovely green islands, brilliant blue skies and lots of sunshine. I poured myself into my shorty wet suit. I hate them. They're so difficult to get into. My nerves eased slightly when we discovered one of the older ...
