Seriously, its still bloody raining!!!!! So we decide to do one last day trip on the road, the furthest north we'll go. We take our time this morning, finally getting on the road around 9:30am and since its quite a drive to Cape Trib & back, probably not the best day to be dragging our feet. First stop is the beautiful, laid-back resort town of Port Douglas and funny enough, as soon as we're out of Cairns the rain clouds ...

... piece in your mouth. In some ways it also feels a bit claustrophobic. I didn't last the full time and got out. It's something I will need to practice more of before I get used to it. At least I got to see some of the reef and the first, even if it was a bit meerky. A number of people said that too when they got back that it wasn't very clear. Lunch was taken at the Raintree cafe and to our astonishment Matt cooked steaks on the Barbe, an array of salads was produced and we sat down to a sumptuous feast, which was most unexpected. There followed Kangaroo feeding of the the owners two pet big reds. Would you believe these are the first two kangaroos ...

Great Barrier Reef

... wanted to see. After this we see clown fish (Nemo), star fish, more turtles and so many brightly coloured fish. Another favourite was a huge barracuda which just swims around yen back of the boat most days, it was about 5 feet long and looks more scary then a shark but it only eats tiny fish so we can just swim around it. Once everyone is back from diving and snorkelling a huge lunch is put on, from salmon to beef and then so many salads. We then head to the next snorkel ...
