    ... Everyone joined in and then we learned the actions, all whilst bobbing on a kayak with the dolphin swimming about 50 meters from us. An amazing experience, we have seen dolphin before but not in the wild just swimming about and so closely to us as well.     ... really are a lot of high rise buildings. Had fish (snapper) and chips overlooking the water at Kirra Beach, just before Coolangatta. Lovely spot. So that was Surfers Paradise. What more to say? Nice life saver huts, great beaches . Oh and thought we heard gun fire , four shots this morning at 4.24am. On to Byron Bay ...

    ... beach. There's some University sports event this week so place full of group of athletic young people plus "backpackers " club/ pub crawl night . Really good atmosphere.We were going to join them but there s also really long sea front market on a Wednesday so we wandered along that then hot chocolate and bed instead !! - want to get up early to enjoy the miles and miles of beach.
