... I got pretty close to standing up on a couple of occasions and that was good enough for me. Stand up paddle boarding was equally as good but a lot more chilled. It was a bit harder than I thought and required more balance than I realised but once u get it, it's pretty awesome just cruising along the river looking at the city surrounding you. Needless to say after that we were pretty knackered and had an early night ready to move on to Nimbin ...

It was really nice, served medium rare, very similar to steak, just a tad more tough when cooked through a bit more. Would definitely have it again. Very much enjoyed, all the better with free wine. We then went to a bar for a few drinks afterwards, not greatly busy as it's winter ...

Spent our last full day here visiting friends. Was great to catch up with Deb who we met over two years ago on a cruise. She saw our last blog & realised we were only a block from her! We walked to her beautiful house just off the esplanade at Miami Beach and had a lovely catch up with her and her amazing mum, Isabelle (turning 94 soon) who was also on the cruise. Thanks Deb, was lovely to see you both. We drove to Tamborine Mountain for lunch at one of ...

... head! Ridiculous and normally you'd expect a burger to be bad if that size, but it tasted great! They soldiered on through but only managed half in the end, a Stirling effort. With that we wandered through the Wednesday night beach market, before heading home. The front was lined with stalls selling everything from kangaroo jerky to jewellery and wax hand models; very bohemian. Lovely warm evening with food stalls, crashing waves and the annual sand carving competition statues around ...
