Paradise Isles Gold Coast Surfers Paradise

... There are Caucasian people everywhere, the prices are similar to New York, and I have been able to watch American football and television shows on Tivo. This is sharp contrast to sleeping in hallways in dorm rooms with no air conditioning, and sometimes not a single tourist in sight.

after 5pm as the Sun was setting. We take a quick drive past
Seaworld to a lookout point before going in search of a campsite as

Trips to Surfers Paradise We wanted to see a few of the towns around the Surfers paradise like Southport but we were put off when a couple of people said that there was literally nothing there, and that they are just like any another industrial town and that we'd be better off spending more time in Surfers if we wanted to see what the Gold coast was really about. In the end Taj won the final with a 9.0 ride and won $20000. He had just won $50000 on the Thursday, so $70000 is not bad for 4 days work/play. It was class to see a surf comp and to see the pros in action. Its off to Brisbane tomorrow for a few days. Back to the city!

We disembarked from our first ride just over 30 minutes after we had deposited our bags in the locker, and at close to 5pm the queue was not any shorter.
