        The Whales in Paradise day trip to the Gold Coast was eventful in a number of ways. Firstly as the winds were pretty high which made for some interesting seas as we broke out of the calmness of the Nurranga River in to the open Pacific Ocean.         ... and after a short walk along the beach we headed in the opposite direction towards the town of Apollo bay. Again we stopped at lots of viewpoints and scenic spots along the way. This stretch of road was right at the side of the ocean. We stopped at Wye river for a pie lunch and walk on the beach.         ... Melbourne airport it took four and a half hours to arrive at Christchurch. To make time go abit faster on the plane I read up on New Zealand’s culture and how they do things differently over there.
