... so small you could walk it in 20 mins,it was just beach sea and greenery. The only way off the island was by boat and the electric went off at 12.00am so going to the outside loo was always a bit scary.
We had an amazing time on Robinson Crusoe Island, its just beautiful and the Fijians made us feel so welcome.
... Helen and myself went on a beach horseback ride along the coastline to the nearest village, all of us braving into a canter along the white sands of the Fijian beaches.
Those with long enough hair got hair braids- looking truly tropical. There was lots of mango smoothie drinking and french fries munching in the hours between breakfast and dinner, when we weren't in the water or on the volleyball court.
... souvenirs not begrudged as they live such a simple life, tourism is their sole means of earning a living and the ladies said the profits all go back into the school.
Returning to base Colin and I sat in the warm shallow sea to cool down before the next deluge of rain sent us back to our bure, which was even more comofrtable than the two previous bures, with a little three piece suite inside as well as table and chairs on the ...
... beaches and exploring the surrounds.
During their regular post office visit I tagged along and went to visit Kavala Bay as well which was great and I took some photos of some of the locals there.
Everyone I met the entire time on Kadavu Island were friendly and welcoming, unlike some of the other destinations I've travelled to which as I said really makes you feel like part of a family.
Looking forward to my next visit.
