Day 10: No clever title. I've been on a pub crawl.

... We made it to the top and the view was amazing. Took photos and picked out our snorkel spot that we’d definitely earned.

Heading down the hill was MUCH nicer. I felt bad slightly giggling at people heading up, knowing what they had to do. I had a few rests though, not going to lie. After walking uphill for so long, and then downhill for so long, my legs forgot how to walk on level ground. The struggle was real. The reef shoes that mum and I ...

... on the beach, we checked with others emerging from the water, and determined the best snorkeling spots. This was a far different type of reef than any we'd experienced previously, with an initial white sand bottom giving way quickly to sea grass, then rock and suddenly, coral outcroppings of all shapes and types, awash in every variety of fish. It was possible to just float a foot or two above the coral and marvel at all the different colors and types of coral, ...

I have never seen any of those wines for sale in the UK but yet I find one on an island in the pacific next to a village so remote they rely on the generator in the dive centre for the power that they only have access to for a few hours a day.

The place is run by a manager couple who ...

... and covered for several days, during which nature takes it's course separating, the oil to the top of the water to later be skimmed off... that's it. The only downfall is that it took grinding 35 coconuts to get maybe a liter of oil, if you're lucky. Now you may have a better understanding of why virgin coconut oil is so pricey? When children reach 10 years old, they are sent off to boarding school on a larger nearby island. One parent from ...

The staff of Coral View sing farewell to us with music and singing. Then onto the Flyer to our next resort Korovou, an eco resort which we found means that we only have power from sunset to bar closure and no hot water. However we had a beautiful fresh water pool and a long sandy beach. A much nicer Bure, more solidly built with a comfortable 4 poster bed and our own balcony overlooking the sea.A nice meal and lively entertainment ...
