    ... 9 am, we watched a Russian man drink neat vodka, do a little dance then wallop a stick into the sand with a huge mallet. Classic Russian.

    ... The bird can also mimic the human voice if kept as a pet. Known as ‘Grass Hopper Hunter’ by the locals this relative of the starling family mates for life and sleeps in communal roosts which they return to at sunset.We have a happy pair building a nest above our balcony.

    The receptionists welcomed us with delicious fruit juice and a cold towel. We were informed that we would stay the first night in a Superior Room but had been upgraded to a Junior Suite for the remainder of our stay! Fon, a sweet receptionist, showed us to our Superior room which was beautiful with a private terrace overlooking greenery and the sea.
