... which turned out to be really close to where we lived, and it was full of small but very wild monkeys that were not very shy at all! Another beautiful spot was Maya Bay, our last stop and it was also the set location for the Leonardo DiCaprio film "The Beach" however the weather was quite bad by the time we got there. Before we headed home we watched a beautiful sunset over the open water. We got to see plenty of cool fish; I for instance saw my first shark ...

... killing fields, this turned into quite a lengthy day starting off with going to a firing range, there a shot a pistol and an ak47 on 3 shot bursts and rapid fire. Very powerful! ... After last nights excessive rest I awoke bright and early to hike to the top of the mountain to try and catch a glimpse of the sunrise. The streets of ko phi phi were deserted apart from a view locals (including my first glimpse of a ladyboy which was eye opening). After walking the 500 or so steep steps to the top in the dark, I met a Chinese man who was on the same mission as me. We soon realised that we ...

    ... Nemo’s evil cousin.

Last stop was Lo Samah bay where we could have climbed a ladder to get onto Maya beach but we chose rather to swim. Joel had a head start on us exploring the bay and ventured further than we did. He said he saw some banded sea snakes. We hopped in and I saw lots of fish I at first thought were barracuda, but not as mean looking. Danielle said they are crocodile needle fish, much less dangerous. Near the boat was a large ...
