... from the gate to the campsite took 5 hours, that's 5 hours of little shade and very little water as it was buried at the back of the car, an error.
The festival was like most festivals, partying, music, chilling, the group i was with was a real stroke of luck, our camp site was kitted out with 2 showers a kitchen, tents, chairs, air beds, it was rather luxurious.

The Hellhole Canyon hike includes an ominous warning just a half mile into the 5.2 mile (round trip) up the canyon. Three mock graves and a official sign that says They Didn't Bring Enough Water. Nevertheless, when exiting the canyon trail, we passed several groups ...
Hmmmm...the trail name is not very inviting but after reading the reviews, it fits our plans. This trail is fairly close to the B&B and has pretty good distance - 5 miles roundtrip - plus water at the end of the trail! ... down into Blair Valley. The terrain is full of cactus and ocotillo trees which give this a beautiful landscape. John and I tried to keep going further up the mountain past the homestead but couldn't find an easy route through the cactus without getting gored so we turned around. This is a very popular trail as we saw many people hiking up this mountain. After 2 hours we made it back to the car and set out for the next trail down the diet road another. 3 miles ...
