... fly for a while. All of us had a go, including Margie who came in from the water for a try.

Then it was cache time - there was one just a couple of hundred metres down the beach near another condominium entrance - and it was a nice walk along the wet sand watching the different birds flying along the shore or searching the water's edge for food.

We are on a short little vacation to run a half marathon tomorrow-- the Big Sur Half Marathon. At 4pm, David, Kelsey, Marimar, Charles, Jonathan, Jim, Sherry and I drove down to Monterey. After picking up food at Whole Foods, having a nice (but long) Italian dinner, and settling in at the house we snagged, we went to sleep early. The real adventure starts ...

... clearly suffering but I was ok! A miracle & on top of that we saw 8-10 humpback whales including a couple of mums with their calves. Lots of dolphins too! We saw a black footed albatross which we were told was rare bird to see. We enjoyed strolling around Cannery Row again the vibe was great and not over crowded at all. An added bonus & highlight was in the evening we meet up with the lovely family we first met on the boat to Alcatraz we had a fab time ...

... see in Watsonville and she told us to go to the Gizdich Ranch for berries and pie. We were sold. It’s a beautiful farm with hundreds of rows of bright yellow flowers and bare white trees in the land surrounding the buildings. Dave ordered a slice of boysenberry pie and I had very berry pie heated with vanilla ice cream. We were in berry heaven.

After we left, Dave realized that a lake he was originally not going to go to because of it being out of the way ...

... lot of this church and start a Intercession prayer group for this church. She was super inspiring to talk to and much needed for me because I was wondering what the heck I was doing at that point. After hanging with them, I bundled up, got on my bike and left for Greg and Lillian's place. The rest of the night spent with them was fun and felt more home-y.
