Day 25 The one that should have gotten away!

So we woke up on the side of the road at a pull off near santa margarita lake. I drove to the lake while Rachel slept in the back. We got to the lake she unloaded the truck and set up for breakfast for when I returned, and after some typing she set up the hammock and slept more in it. I started walking around the lake to get to the part where the boulder rocks start since that is where the fish were when we were here before. The lake was more difficult to walk since ...

As I sit here and type this I'm awed by the sound of the ocean so near and the brightness of the stars, but we’ll get to that later. Today, Friday, we woke up in the motel 6 ventura and had sausage burritos. We then drove to a public beach and took the doggies for a morning beach walk. We then took our time packing hotel cali back up for another week or so outdoors. We then drove up pch and were disappointed in the road because it turned into ...

Drove to Morro Bay about 45 mins from Pismo for a look around. Hungry of course and after checking out TripAdvisor decided on the Gallery Seafood and Bar. Glad we did ! I had the best Seafood Salad ever. The Crab Louie's I've ordered in other places are put to shame. This was a masterpiece of prawns, Maine lobster, and crab...hardly any lettuce. Beautifully presented with garnishes of tomato, cucumber, hard boiled egg, and paper thin slices of raw yellow beets ...

We planned to visit Paso Robles for wine tasting but Pats back was still too painful. Another day for that or not! From their condo we walked out on the pier and the town. Beautiful day and not a cloud in the sky. It is still cool if not in the sun. From there we walked to the Monarch Butterfly grove. Every winter this is the spot ...

    Great day in the Dunes

Yesterday the four of us played out in the dunes with Lanita and her gang, Rusty, Tyler, Jazmine, and their friends. Lanita is a pro in the new Razor. She drove that ATV up steep hills and over the sides and in turns. We were sure we would tip over but she had the G forces going! Tons of chillin' fun! Unfortunately one of the bumps landed us ...
