Great Value, Superb Service, Delicious Food
I had the pleasure of staying here for four days at the end of February/beginning of March. My room was immaculate and cheerful. The breakfasts and dinners that I ate in the restaurant were extremely good. The staff was warm and helpful. I made use of the sauna before bed each night, and found that it induced deep sleep moments after my head touched the pillow.
If you grow restless and want to take day trips to destinations like Phang Nga, the Phi Phi islands, Krabi, etc..., the hotel desk can book them for you, and the tour companies will pick you up at the hotel in the morning and drop off at the hotel in the evening.
The hotel is located up the hill, about a 15 minure walk from the beach itself. There is a nice view of the water from the rooftop pool area. The walking distance to the beach was the only negative regarding the hotel. If you don't wish to walk, the desk can arrange a taxi for the 3 minute ride down the hill to get to the beach, shopping, etc... Similarly, you can easily catch a cab or tuk-tuk for the uphill walk back. For the two days I spent on the beach, a little bit of planning was required as not to forget something.
All in all this hotel is a very relaxing place to unwind. The staff, the room, the restaurant, the cicadas (the hills are alive with the sound of cicadas) all made for an enjoyable stay.
My husband and I chose to stay at the Pacific Club hotel for our honeymoon. We had a fabulous time there, and felt fully pampered. It was quiet, serene, and absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing, the service excellent, and the room was very comfortable.
We stayed in the room next to the customer who complained about the constuction noise, but we never even noticed it because the rooms are so soundproof. We felt very comfortable and private in our room, and we were never disturbed by anything during our 11 day stay.
The first thing we noticed was the excellent service. There was always someone available to help us, no matter the issue. It was our first trip to Asia, so we were a little nervous. The Pacific Club staff excelled at making us feel right at home. They answered all of our questions. Our room was kept immaculate, and we especially enjoyed the laundry service. I have never before seen such perfectly pressed and cleaned clothing!
Our favorite spot in the resort to visit was the absolutely gorgeous pool, located on the roof of the resort. We took dozens of pictures of it to show our friends and family. The pool has the most amazing view overlooking all of Karon Beach. There were always fresh towels available and I did not find the floor to be slippery at all. There are flowers of every color, and the water was always the perfect temperature. We spent hours up there soaking up the sun and the view.
Overall, our experience was the best that it could have been. We were of course very picky since it was our honeymoon, but Pacific Club made our romantic trip better than we could have imagined. All we want to do now is return there next year!
Pacific club spa hotel, in mine opinion a New 5 stars hotel with beautiful view.
Thank you for making my vacation and my first trip to Thailand so grate.
The hotel is excellent, food very good, room more than excellent.
Service was super. Thank you again.
I will be back!!!
9 days at Karon Beach and Pacific Club Hotel & Spa
I live in India and have two high-pressure jobs here. My family lives in the US, for now. I needed a break and searched this website for a place to go. What I wanted was a comfortable, clean hotel that served some Western food since living in India, a lot of what I am used to is not allowed or available. I also did not want to stay in some kind of pretentious chain resort with hoity toity, inattentive staff and high cost. I am so very pleased I stayed at the Pacific Club and Spa. What a wonderful, delightful place!
For me, well trained, attentive staff backed up by state of the art facilities and lots of relaxing options is high on the list. I got that and more.
I have never stayed in a hotel that had friendlier staff that was truly interested in pleasing me. When I dined, my order was taken and fast walked to the kitchen to make sure there was no delay. The food and beverage manager, Bob, circulated among the diners constantly and was honestly solicitous in his attention and advice. The food was excellent in all respects. Fresh, beautifully presented and cooked to my exact preference. I had a fresh Red Snapper steamed Thai style in bamboo leaves with spices and herbs that was truly world class.
The staff is not fluent in English, but would make sure they understood what I wanted and delivered. I used to manage restaurants and spent several years as a Maitre 'D and Somelier and could find little to fault the service.
A word about the location.
The hotel overlooks Karon Beach and is separated from the main commercial (read bars, nightclubs, bar girls, etc.) by an 11 minute walk. It sits on a hillside surrounded on three sides by jungle. It is quiet, beautiful and serene. I am 52 years old, so perhaps my perception of what is fun may be different than yours, but the main part of Karon Beach with it's bars and restaurants is quite close by and easily accessible. I liked that because the location is not subject to the constant noise, traffic and goings-on of downtown but close enough to have some fun.
A word about the spa.
I had never had a true Thai massage. The salacious implications to the contrary. My wife has been a professional masseuse for 31 years, and like the cobblers son, I never seemed to get the benefits of her knowledge because she would be tired after working all day in the salon. I have been trained in Shiatsu and the degreed, certified lady who gave me my massage (and made me groan in pain, occasionally)knew her business very well. I felt wonderful for 3 solid days, and my tight left shoulder would finally move the way it was supposed to. I am writing this 3 weeks later, and it is still loose and comfortable.
Look, I don't want this to sound like a puff piece, it is not meant that way. I simply and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel immensely.
It is quiet, sparkling clean, beautifully appointed, intensely concentrated on the guests and (unfortunately) very popular. We met many people who were spending a month or more there and had, since this was a new hotel a year ago, come back for more. That is a testimonial I would not disagree with.
If you want a quiet, relaxed, comfortable place to stay, within walking distance of the more frenetic activies, offering very good food and absolutely superb service, then this is the place for you.
Someone recently mentioned that there is building going on in front of the hotel, that is true, someone is capitalizing on the beautiful location to put in two story condominiums, but they only block the view on a couple of rooms, and since I spend little time in the room and more on the stunning, roof top swimming pool, (cause I'm lazy), I don't really mind. The hotel was fully occupied the entire 9 days I spent there, mostly with returnees who considered this to be an unqualified bargain to stay in Karon Beach. The nightlife of Patong Beach is only 15 minutes of airy Tuk-Tuk ride away, so you can have it both ways. Walk to party down, or ride to explore Patong and some of it's theme restaurants and bars. (as well as a ton of Westerners who appreciate this place by the hundreds)
I am truly not trying to be overblown by my review, but I mean every word and I heartily recommend this place for a beautiful, inexpensive place to stay.
As someone once said, "Thanks for the hall"
One in a million!
I am a Vancouver Real Estate Agent with ReMax. I have come to Phuket the past seven years for one month to Karon Beach. I search for good value wherever I stay. In my opinion anyone who rates this hotel less than excellent has little or no experience travelling. My only fear is that by telling the truth I won't be able to get the same deal next year. This is a slam dunk great deal!!!! I'll be back.
Incredible hotel, incredible value
I travel every week for my job, spending 80+ nights per year in hotels. So trust me when I say that this property competes with the best of them (including top-shelf New York City hotels).
Start with the rooms: spacious, well-appointed, balcony, AC, TV with many U.S. channels, free (fast!) WiFi internet access, dimmer switches on the lights, kitchen, safe, etc. Everything I've come to expect (and a bit more to be honest).
The amenities: outstanding restaurant with a full menu, killer pool (on the roof no less), a real spa with all the treatments you'd expect, great steam room/sauna, Jacuzzi, and a waterfall to boot!
The staff: Friendly, attentive, helpful, willing to go the extra mile.
The setting: up on the hill overlooking the ocean. Removed from the noise of Karon Beach proper but only a 10 minute walk to the beach or town.
Bottom line: it's hard to believe that they can offer this much value for the rates. Other guests that I met there had exactly the same sentiments and said things like "I'm coming back here next year" or "This is the third time I've been here" or "I'm telling all my friends and colleagues about this place." It is really that good folks.
Nice hotel, shame about the construction......
lovely staff, very helpful but even they couldn't make up for the fact that as they are building a new apartment block right next to the Pacific, it feels like the builders are actually in your room!
We had to move to a different hotel as they couldn't move us to another room which was a shame as the staff are genuinely helpful and very nice.
another thing to note is that although the pool is lovely, the flooring around it is incredibly slippy when wet and I fell over injuring my wrist quite badly. be careful with kids.
Fantastic Room Service, Comfortable Beds
To Phuket I came for one thing and one thing only, TO RELAX. My work back in Australia is very stressful as a professional IT Engineer in charge of large corporations Networks means on call 24/7. Pacific Club Resort was the perfect place with an atmosphere second to none. Room service was instant and available from 6am till Midnight, it's fantastic considering the many different styles of food I could choose. Love to sleep! I must say this resort has the best beds I have ever slept in, compared to the many other hotels I have spent hours sleeping, so I got what I came for and caught up on some overdue sleep.
The internet Facilities are awesome with Hotspots all over the hotel including the roof top Pool and Rooms. The internet service is free!
All I can say is "I can recommend this Spa Resort to anyone".
5 Star Paradise @ 3 Star Pricing
I'm 41 years old and travel quite frequently. This has been my best holiday yet. What made our stay so enjoyable was the open layout of the Pacific Club Spa Resort, this place is so cool and warm at the same time. my kids did not wanna go home
Along with the many facilities Gym,Jacuzzi and Fantastic Roof Top Swimming pool that blew me away with its Ocean Views.
Replying to emails from my room on my laptop on the free internet (normally I have to pay an extra 10 bucks a night for internet like this) gave me such freedom and time to relax without having to waste time in locating an internet cafe etc, the pool has its own wireless hotspot, man did we all get an awsome tan.
Food Menu is there to accommadate western living but you can also be treated to a Thai or Indian dish and the average pricing for most main meals in the restaurant I found was less then AUS$7.00. Kids just loved the burgers & chips.
It is also only 10 mins drive to the famous Patong Beach where you can do all your shopping and party till early hours of the morning that is if you have someone to look after the kids
This is my 5th trip to Thailand. The Pacific Club Resort is where I will always stay now. Thankyou to all the staff and Eric my man for making me feel at home.
I run a business markets new technolgy for swimming pools that reduces chemical demand by up to 50% and backwash water by 25%. This requires travel to all places in Thailand. When in Phuket I was refered to Eric's "Pacific Club Spa" for the technology. He ran with it and I decided to use his place to stay in Phuket. Without going into to much detail - the place is great. I have stayed in all classes of Hotel all over Australia and Thailand and This place is up there with the best. In fact it is as good as any 5 star I have stayed in. The proof is in the pudding, give it a try. Great food, great staff, great views and nice and quiet, but close to the action.
