Besides going to Terminal 3 in Cancun when the plane leaves from Terminal 2, I left Cancun mostly on time on Jet Blue. Uneventful flight. Jet Blue offers mini-tv's on the backrest in fron but in two flights with them, mine has never worked. Or I don't know how to make it work which may be the case. It took so long to give out water and drinks that …

So I have officially been added to the study abroad course through my University. I would say that today marks the start of my study abroad adventure. Not only am I having major anxiety about if I made the "right" decision to push back my college graduation and leave everything I know and love behind for four whole months (a college student's lifetime) but I am also itching ...
... champagne were circulated, and Lynn proposed a toast to all. She thanked the crew and all of us, and then Doyle took the microphone to thank Lynn, Leslie and John for a great effort and expedition. Everyone clapped on touchdown. We bid farewell to our awesome crew, which was hard and emotional. Holly had crocodile tears, and they weren't from Tanzania...... :-)
We landed in Orlando early at about 3:35PM and went through US Immigration. ...
Today, Frederick and I decided to head to Downtown Disney while Fiona and Joanne opted to remain at the All-Star Movie Resort (Fiona really enjoys swimming in the pool at this place).
There are tons of shops in Downtown Disney. It would be an easy way to spend a lot of money. I looked in a few shops but decided not to buy any overpriced souvenirs.
We did have a coupon for a souvenir at Planet Hollywood. We got a free key chain ...
... Duncan enjoyed it till it got to the outdoor section where it goes REALLY fast and round corners. Matt was videoing us and you hear Duncan scream "I am never doing this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He was really unnerved by it and we decided perhaps taking him on the space simulator straight after (Mission Space) would not be a bad move. So instead, he and I went to get fastpasses for "Soarin" (which at 10am ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Marriott Orlando World Center Resort & Convention Center
A fabulous alternative to Disney!
This Marriott is an excellent choice. The staff was wonderful and the accomodations impressive. The pools (I think there's 4 plus 6 hot tubs) were great. There is a fabulous workout facility and a gameroom for the kids. Everyone here was friendly and focused on the guests. It is extremely close to Disney. We could even see the Disney fireworks from our hotel balcony. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
The hotel looks impressive from the entry. I'm a do it yourself type so I grabbed a luggage cart an started unloading at the front door area.
Marriott Orlando World Center has a great pool
We stayed here during Easter 2003. We had a nice view of the pool area.
The pool is huge, with a slide, a water falls and numerous hot tubs.
Rooms were very nice. My daughter and I took advantage of the spa for massages. Very nice and relaxing. We had heard of the high restaurant prices so we ate out quite a bit but room service actually wasn't too bad price wise. We had saved up Marriott points so were happy to use them during such a busy holiday time. For an upscale hotel I would definitely recommend this hotel. The conceige was also very helpful giving information and booking events for us. We parked in the back of the hotel which I feel was closer then the parking to the right of the hotel. Was very convenient as we were staying in that part of the hotel.
Upon my arrival to the hotel, paying a taxi $40.00 and exhausted from the trip our bags were unloaded as we went to check in. I had a guaranteed reservation that they did not honor. Since I had made my reservation way in advance I was offered a discount rate on my room.
Huge Hotel....Like something out of Vegas....
I stayed here in 2000. just found this site recently but want to add review.... Hotel is beautiful. We came in on the ballroom side and had to walk the entire way down so I havent forgotten how huge it was. Nice restaurants on property especially the steakhouse. Pool is enormous! I have never seen as many chaise lounges in my life. They seemed to never end. Very close to the Disney parks driving distance. Our room over looked the glass lobby. The hotel was still under construction when I visited. Room was very clean and nice. Would definately recoomend to anyone.
Worth The Money!
I stayed at the orlando world center marriott about a month ago and I was amazed! The hotel is huge and gorgeous! The service was wonderful, the staff was very efficient and everyone was very friendly. The hotel rooms are a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for; if you want cheep go to a Holliday Inn. It was definately worth the money. I can't wait to return
When we arrived at the Marriott tired after our trip, we were told that the convention had decided to stay an extra day and they did not have our guaranteed room available. However, Marriott paid for our night at the Caribe Royale. We returned the next day, received two excellent ajoining rooms looking out at the pools and had a great stay. The hotel is very close to Disney, has a huge pool for the kids, and an excellent breakfast buffet (which was included in our government rate, a huge bonus!). Expect to be staying in a large hotel that caters to conventions. That said, it was by far the best value for us outside Disney property.
I had pre paid reservations for two nights at the World Center Marriott, upon arrival to the resort we unloaded the car and had it valet parked. checking in at the front desk we were informed that there was a group/convention at the hotel and that they had exended there stay for one more night therefore anyone checking in that evening was being sent down the road to another hotel. We were offered a hospitality suite for the night and agreed to look at the room (which had no bed) and upon returning to the front desk we were informed that someone else had just given that room away. At that point we were exhausted and disgusted after having just driven there from Tampa and decided to cut our loses and check into the other hotel down the road. As we informed the valet that we needed our car- we waited an unbelievable 30 mintes for them to get the car. The entire experience was crazy and we were outraged! The next day we did return to the hotel and had a wonderful room overlooking the pool and really enjoyed the hotel facilities - it is a beautiful resort I just wish they knew how to deal with people a little better.
FEB.15 - FEB. 19, 2003 Just returned from Marriott World Center and did not think it was worth the money! Standard size room with king bed and a pull-out sofa. Called several times to request a non-smoking room due to asthma, in addition to a king bed vs. 2 full beds. We got a room with a king bed but it was not non-smoking. Since the room did not have an odor of smoke, we let it go. However, first full day, we were gone for over 12 hours and returned at 8pm to find that our room was exactly as we left it in the morning. Called front desk and said they would contact housekeeping. A half hour later when no one called or came, called housekeeping ourselves and were informed that they were never contacted. So at 9pm, we had our room cleaned and fresh towels brought and turn-down service at the same time! Each day after, we did not get room service until 3 - 4 pm or later. We always had turn-down service. Then, on our last day, at 8 am, housekeeping came to clean the room! Go figure! We told her to come back after the 11:00 a.m. check-out! At $169. per night (We had the $152. AAA rate), we did not feel that it was worth the money. It was a nice resort, don't get me wrong! But, service is not one of their main priorities! A lot of people behind desks, but of little assistance!
Can't Wait to Visit Again!
We stayed at the Marriott Resort 16-18 August 2002. Wonderful place. Ammenities are numerous and if you like to swim all of the pools/spas will keep you happy. Rooms are lovely and we had a great view of the golf course and could see the fireworks at Pleasure Island at night.
Hope to go back there again real soon for another relaxing weekend.
