Historical Traveler Reviews One Resort Monastir

      Superbe complexe

      from

      Tres bel hotel

Probleme de frigo qui ne marchait pas. Probleme signalé à l'acceuil. Frigo changé le soir même....RAPIDE

Hotel propre. Menu varié. Service & Animation OK.

      A essayer!

      from

Le One Resort a été notre premier hôtel All In... Quel souvenir!

      Bien

      from

rien a dire c'est trop beaux.

      Very, very good hotel

      from

We have just returned from a one-week stay at the One Resort Hotel in Monsatir and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality that this hotel has to offer (considering the price we paid!)

Our room was very spacious and had a balcony however, it's not a real double bed - two singles together. The hotel is divided into two blocks. We were not in the main building and judging from other people's photos the better rooms would appear to be in the main building. Our room was a bit worn and needed a good refurb.

The buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners were very good and offered plenty of choice. The food was quite basic but the buffet was always well stocked even just before the restaurant was due to close and always extremely well presented. The pool, beach and lobby bars were always open and served snacks throughout the day. The pool bar was open and served snacks 24 hours.

The only downsides to the "food" part of the holiday were that the "A la carte" restaurant (Guests can eat here once during their stay and requires a reservation) was horrible! We ended up going back into the main restaurant to eat diner and the hotel did seem to have a problem with flies in the restaurants. After a week, the flies were a bit irritating.

Nevertheless, all the hotel staff were very pleasant, the swimming pools and areas around them were always clean. The beach is fantastic, just behind the hotel and is for hotel guests only. The beach was very clean with plenty of parasols and sunbeds. The sea was clear blue with shallow parts for small children and beach towels can be borrowed from the hotel.

This hotel is fantastic for families with small kids or for young couples just wanting to relax on the beach. Hotel guests are mostly German/Austrian, Italian or French. Didn't hear an English voice all week!

One last thing is that the hotel complex is located just 3km (5mins on the bus) from Monastir airport. We could see the planes taking off and landing from our balcony. It didn't disrupt or ruin our holiday. We heard a few planes in the mornings and the evenings.

      Bon complexe hôtelier

      from

      from

      Veramente carino

      from

Ultima cosa molto importante: l'all inclusive è VERAMENTE all inclusive, c'è anche uno snack bar aperto 24 ore su 24....

      Hôtel magnifique

      from

      from

      First review

      from

I could never find a review for this 4 star hotel in Monastir on Skane's beach. It had all the amenities, was very clean, plenty of food on pension plan. The staff was fluent in many languages. We were able to rent a car from reception in an hour. The massage/hammam facilities were very clean and efficient and inexpensive. The room was huge........actually two rooms which could sleep about 8 even though we were only two. View of the water, lovely beach. One hiccup was that although the hotel had satellite tv, they didn't have enough remote controls to go around so we had to wait three days until someone checked out before we could get one. But all in all I would return.

Well, so here, it means four days of lamb slaughterings and barbecues. I saw some kids leading a delicious looking one down the street, letting it eat decorative flowers in one last act of fattening.

Finally the time comes, our meal is over and it's time for the tip. We give some notes to Gracie to give to the waiter. He seems to appreciate the gesture. Slipping the notes into his pocket he disappears into the kitchen and presumably home for the evening.

... The Kasbah has been well preserved and rennovated. It's deserted and so we can relax in peace and quiet.

      Views from the kasbah

Leaving the museum we walk through the narrow streets of the Kasbah downhill towards the port and main square.
