... to the beach. It was a pretty average and overcast day so the water was freezing. But we persisted and eventually the sun stuck his head out and stayed out. After soaking up some seething sun, we head back to Taco Guss for some lunch. I tried their tacos and its a winner. The tortillas bases are larger so you can fit more stuff into them. Best tacos so far. Straight back to the beach to get the arvo sun where I crashed out and fell asleep ...

Just for a moment I thought John Wayne was sitting at the next breakfast table this morning. I heard this guy talking with a loud Texan drawl ( it might have been a Californian accent but it was definitely a drawl) telling his fellow diners that he is a retired Ice Trucker ( you must have seen the series on Channel 4 about the truck drivers who take goods back and forth to Alaska ). ... are called Tehuantepec, and are more frequent in the months of February, March and April but can occur at any time of year. The Tehuantepec winds develop very quickly and often cannot be forecast. As a precaution the ship’s route has been planned to remain close to the land in order to remain in the relative shelter of the Mexican coast." Luckily we did not experience this wind. Ken spotted another large turtle today.
