Historical Traveler Reviews Oceans One Resort Myrtle Beach

      Absolutely loved it!

      from

This was, by far, the nicest resort I have ever stayed at in Myrtle Beach. The condo was immaculate and modern, beautiful furniture, Jacuzzi tub, flat screen televisions, stainless steel appliances. Not to mention, it is right on the beach with a beautiful ocean view. And, the staff were all wonderful. Very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

      Loved it!

      from

My husband, two boys (ages 12 & 15 Years) and I just returned from Oceans One Resort after a 5 night stay. The 2 bedroom condo unit was extremely large and in perfect working condition. The view from the 15th floor was beautiful! We spent a considerable amount of time at the resort's pools and the beach. It has a lazy river, indoor pool and an outdoor pool that is especially nice for swimming laps. For families with small children, there is a nice water play area and a one foot pool with lounge chairs in it for lounging while you play and watch very small children. When we needed something, the staff was prompt and courteous in handling our request. We all, (including the boys) would highly recommend this resort and plan to return the next chance we get!

      Ive stayed at better

      from

Yes i will admit that the rooms were beautiful, because they are new! The soap smelled so good i used it instead of my own(like orange sherbet!)The furniture was modern and the inroom jacuzzi was nice.Where was the Ice machine???!!! They dont have one! Where were the vending machines?! I opened a door that said vending, and there was nothing in there but empty boxes! The appliances were so small and there was no counter space. We didnt have bed linen for the wall bed, called the front desk(which is across the street, along with a very small parking lot) and the 5th call i finally got an answer! I told her my situation and she said housekeeping was gone for the day.ok, I will come and get them myself. she responded no mam, i mean they are all dirty!!! The pool area was very nice.Beautiful indoor pool with a waterfall in the center, indoor/outdoor lazy river, indoor jacuzzi, two outdoor jacuzzis, outdoor pool with small waterfall at the end and a fun childrens activity pool. The security is good. There was a guard on duty all night in front of the property and you have use your room key to gain access to the building. They should do something about the loitering though.

      Great View, Great Hotel

      from

For our anniversary we spent three nights at the Oceans One Resort. We have stayed in several hotels in the Myrtle Beach area and Oceans One is now our favorite hotel.

The hotel is new, clean, very modern and the best part is the absolutely great view of the ocean we had from our room.

The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, the hotel was bright, clean, and the pool area was terrific.

Living in the Myrtle Beach area we have seen several of the local hotels and will now be recommending Oceans One to our friends coming to stay at the beach.

      Breathtaking Oceans One

      from

Oceans One Resort is by far the most breathtaking resort in Myrtle Beach. We have stayed in all of the major resorts and nothing comes close. With great amenities, unsurpassable customer service, and rooms that are out of this world, you are sure to have a great time. We stayed for 2 weeks and loved it so much that we reserved a room for the next weekend!

      Well Worth the Money

      from

We stayed at Oceans One from May 26-30, 2008 for our honeymoon after first making reservations at a hotel down the street. Things did not work out at the first hotel and after asking for a refund we walked down to Oceans One and explained that we needed a room because the hotel we were booked at was totally unacceptable. The young man at the service desk asked about the problem with the first hotel and told us that Oceans One was owned by the same people. He then told us that since they owned both hotels that they would give us a good deal on the room. After making the reservations the young man told us that our room was one of the best the hotel had to offer and that we would be amazed by the view. We then gathered our luggage and got settled into the room which was just as he said it would be. After staying at Oceans One I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else at Myrtle Beach. With the view from the rooms, the hopitality of the staff, and the security of the building there is nothing left to be desired. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and safe environment while visiting the beach. Book now, you won't be disappointed.

      Perfect vacation

      from

We visited Myrtle beach for the first time and spotted the hotel from far away due to its modern architecture. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the hotel was recently open, so everything was new and of excellent quality. All the apartments are oceanfront, and the view was breathtaking from the wall to wall windows. The kitchen had everything we needed, including washer and dryer. Loved the jacuzzi in the bathroom and the soap of good quality. We just wished the pillows were a little softer. My children enjoyed the pools; the chairs by the pool are of best quality. We highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be back.

      Amazing!!!

      from

This hotel is absolutely AMAZING! New, Modern, and gorgeous rooms with breakthtaking views! These rooms have floor to ceiling windows overlooking beautiful myrtle beach!!! This is a must see! The staff was pleasant and accomodating, and above all... these rooms are st ate of the art! I would give OCEANS ONE 6 Stars! ******

      Absolutlely wonderful!!

      from

We stayed at the Oceans One Resort from 5-15-08 - 5-20-08, and it is by far the BEST place we have ever stayed at,

We had originally stayed at the Captains Quarters, and we were very unhappy with the room!! It was a dump,we stopped in at Oceans One and were givin a tour by Stephanie, she was really fantastic!,She was very friendly, and very helpful, We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on the end, on the 10th floor, beautiful room, It was fabulous!! The room was just amazing and what an awesome view!, We had 4 adults and 2 kids,we were very comfortable.

We stay at a lot of hotels due to our job,and this is the best!!

They were orignally to be sold as condo units, but for now they do rent some rooms, they have 1,2,and 3 bedroom units, all beautiful,

We would highly recommend Oceans One!!!.

They have 3 hot tubs outside,a lazy river, and several pools, very clean, The rooms all have full kitchens,stove,microwave,dishwasher,washer/dryer,toaster,coffee maker, pots, pans, untensils, plates, bowls, refridgerator, iron board, iron, hair dryer,oh,did i mention the awesome view!!.

The rooms are like small apartments, and really nice.

If you are looking to stay at a very nice place, this is it!!!, The cost is not bad for what you get, prices may go up through out the summer, but well worth it!!.

We will be looking forward to staying there again.

      Enjoy!!

We Have Never Been More Pleased

      from

WE stayed at Oceans One on May 9th thru May 11th 2008 for my Mother's Day present and I could not have stayed anywhere else and been any happier. The rooms are unreal. Every thing was spotless and the service we had was the best of anywhere we have been. I would have no problem telling anyone to stay here. The pools, hot tubes and lazy river were so clean and the lawn was beautiful. All the chairs by the pool were the best I have seen at any resort. So by all means if you can take a trip to Myrtle Beach be sure and check Oceans One out. You will not be sorry.

      Party Time Management

A travel blog entry by mwall60 on Feb 02, 2015

... br> I understand not all events, gatherings, or parties are the same but
used as a guide, this rule is simply the best. One can fall back on
this rule no matter which side of the party coin they are on. You can
pull this rule out if you are the party host to get rid of everyone
in a timely yet friendly manner, or use it as a polite and peaceful
way of getting out of some place you would rather not be. It works
great both ways, no harm no foul!

... travels in November this was present fairly often in the islands we visited; get your Curacao liqueur memento after the tour and tasting (delicious, thank you!) but the best was in Jamaica. There are actually two gift shops to cross before exiting to your waiting bus. My resolve is solid in that first shop, lots of looking and oh, that’s awfully cute. I’m strong, I don’t need a knit cap with yarn dreadlocks to prove ...

      Beautiful Day!
What I have learned this month...a new and
Totally different way of life. I suggest inland sailors all move outside & be apart of this cruising world.
      1) women aboard are not just mate to cook, wash cloths and scrub boat.
      2) be flexible for unforeseen problems, Life happens.
3)cold showers and emptying head :(
4)not to supersize meals, we don't get to run it off, ...

Our start this rnorning found us aground in the mouth of Jeremy Creek after leaving Leland Oil dock in McClellansville, SC. While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

It was 23degrees Celsius and we didn't know what to do with ourselves. We spent the morning sitting in our beach chairs in our jeans enjoying the sound of the waves and reading our books. It was nice to finally be in warm weather but we knew it wasn’t going to last. They were called for a low of 2degrees that evening and we were not looking forward to it. I have never been to Myrtle Beach before but Chris has been a few times. It’s strange being here right at this time of ...
