... After about an hour we started moving, we had guessed and had worked out from the info from one of the truckers that the road was blocked and we thought this was probably due to a landslide. This did turn out to be the case, and we passed at least 5 relatively fresh landslides on the road afterwards. A long and complicated journey to get to Zancudo, just across the Costa Rican border but on the other coast. Left Bocas at 6am and had a half hour ferry ride back to the mainland (despite the early hour the ride was cool, water was glassy smooth and the boat skimmed along with barely a bump).
