... TO TALK TO A COUPLE WHO DO CEDAR CARVINGS. THE YOUNG MAN TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN ALL THE ANIMALS CARVED INTO EACH CARVING.

SO FOR ALL THE TOURISTS WHO COME TO NANAIMO THIS COUPLE ARE ON THE WALKWAY BY THE HARBOUR ON NICE DAYS SHOWING THEIR CARVINGS WHILE THEY DO CARVINGS. THESE ONES WERE FROM $40 TO $60. ALL GREAT ORIGINAL WORK.

We had a leisurely morning as we didn't have to check-out of the campsite until 11am and we didn't have a long drive. After a lovely morning we all hit the road heading towards Coombs and Parksville.

Lynn and Steve were going to follow us most of the way, but we move a little slow sometimes (depending on the kids) and they needed to get back to Gabriola, so we parted ways after lunch in Port Alberni.

Long Beach, Tofino and the middle of nowhere

... was a tree growing out of the sand, and bent right over so its length ran above the sand. It was really weird, and shaped rather suggestively, so I took some photos of it.

Back in the car, we finally got to Tofino. The Tofino Inlet is really pretty but otherwise just any other small town filled with hippies and tourists. We had a delicious lunch in a seafood restaurant overlooking the inlet. There isn't much to do in Tofino itself; I think all the fun is in the National ...

Last day of the year. What's in store for 2010?

... wouldn't? I've met a lot of amazing people and saw and photographed quite a few wonderful places. There would be no regrets.

I don't know what's in store for me for the next 6 months. If the past is any indication of the future I expect things to work out quite well.

My 2010 resolution...

Make MY dreams come true so that I can show others that they can make theirs come true also.
