We welcomed Zander into the rich tradition of our family heritage today. Zander's brit was filled with love, support, tears, and joy. Makana and Gil had the same rabbi who married them perform the ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Gil's family (dad, mom, grandmother, and sister) plus close friends of the family came from Orlando as well as local friends of Gil and Makana's. Volunteers walk the beach during the day to mark the nests with stakes and red tape. Melbourne Beach to Wabasso Beach is the largest sea turtle nesting area in the US and hosts 15,000 to 25,000 nesting sea turtles every year. These were loggerhead turtles that we saw.

... to do without a lot of "stuff" while traveling and it is wonderful not to have to worry about buying so much ****. The US loves to spend money and brag about how much we can buy but no one really seems to think that they don't need half the **** they buy. Someone once told me that the US was the greatest country because our control of cheap goods. That is too bad that we are not the greatest country for other things.
