Historical Traveler Reviews of Oasis Resort Casino Golf And Spa Mesquite

Cautious

this was our 4th time to Mesquite to golf , 2nd time staying there.

From research we were told to insist on staying in the upgraded units.

I required this we I booked the rooms, only to find up when I reconfirmed a couple weeks before leaving that they had moved us to an older area of the hotel. There were no updated rooms available. I eventually had to speak to a manager to have it straightened up.

The upgraded rooms are not fancy but tolerable. Seemed to be clean.

This is an old hotel so you can't expect the world. We stayed there because of the golf specials and prefer their golf courses. The buffet in the hotel is good, but long expect lineups.

They had specials where you get two nights accommodation and two rounds of golf. We also took in the spa one day - very nice. We stayed 7 days.

Flew to Vegas and rented a car.

If you are golfing, Wolf Creek (difficult course) is a must. Wouldn't attempt it if you are more than a 18 handicap.

Never again

Food was of good quality and prepared well. Servers were excellent. We didn't like having to leave the Casino to get to our room. The room itself was tastefully appointed and in good condition. The WC however, was disgusting. The shower and tub were stained and mildew was present. We changed locations to the Casablanca which was a much superior location in all respects.

Not great

Stayed for one night as we were driving back from California to Canada and the prices were reasonable. Had a problem as one of the beds was soaking wet. Told management the next morning and they gave us a refund on the room. It is old but fairly clean.

We stayed there for 3 nights for a golf outing. We have traveled to Mesquite many times over the years, staying at the CasaBlanca, Virgin River and the Eureka, (the Eureka is a dive, it couldn't meet the Holiday Inn standards!) The rooms were clean and nice. It seems the new owners have spent some money in the place, unlike Si Redd who siphoened the money in his pocket. They have filled in the ponds that smelled and have them nicely landscaped. The coffee shop menu was priced Very good and the food was well worth it with a good selection on the menu. They have a GREAT spa there that is worth a trip by itself! The building we were in (5) was next to the new pool with water slide and was very nice. It has changed for the better over the past 2 years and we hear that there will be more remodeling. Hopefully, this will come sooner than later for the rest of the buildings. They coinless slots in a section of the casino (the only one in town with this feature) and they have all the new games. We love it for the price and activities, we will be back....

Not a good deal!

1st time we stayed had to fight the flies all night. Gave it a second chance a couple of years later and not much better. $65 for a very noisy room, no supervision for teenage baseball team that ran rampant half the night. Don't believe there will be a 3rd opportunity - will stay elsewhere.

Not a good deal

Have stayed there twice. Both times rooms were nice, food in both buffet and cafe was good. Would stay again.

Golf and Hotel meet our expectations.

Had a great time. For the price of the room combined with the golf deals it was well worth the price. The room was not anything wonderful, but for the price it was perfect.

Bad Rooms, alright service and food

Stayed here twice. The first time in a suite which was great. Balcony had a view of the pond, there was a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, large kitchen, and a ton of space. Made the mistake of staying a second time in a regular room. It was on the first floor right next to the main parking lot, so lots of noise. The room was tacky, dirty, and small. If you stay here, pay the extra for a suite.
