      Vacation Heaven

      from

I own timeshare at Oak Plantation and have been there twice since I first bought my week in 1999. Both times have been just heaven. The first year there it was just me and my wife, it was a perfect honeymoon. The second year there we had our 1 and a half year old daughter. She never even knew she left home, she loved it and we did too. The comfort is unparallel.

      Oak Plantation

      from

My wife & I stayed at Oak Plantation in July and found it a great place to stay. We usualy use a friens villa but it was not available. So we stayed at Oak Plantation. The condo was first class and the staff were great. Loved the place and would recomend it to anyone.

      What A Great Vacation!

      from

We had the best vacation ever! Thanks to the Oak Plantation Resort. When we arrived, we asked that our accomodations be changed so that we could have a lower unit. Everyone at check in was so accomodating and did so without delay. The next morning due to our washer/dryer unit not functioning, we requested a room change. Well, the new unit was so spacious and simply beautiful!! We couldn't believe the value. And so close to everything...not just the parks but the restaurants and shopping stores....and a super Walmart to boot! We met many nice families by the pool every night which made the difference when traveling with 2 busy boys. All in all, we can't wait to return for a week of relaxation!!!

      The Arrington's

      I disagree

      from

My husand and I spent 5 days at Oak Plantation and have no complaints at all. The facilities were clean and the staff attentive. The rooms were a nice size and the pool and hot tub a good way to relax. I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a nice secluded place to take your family away from all the disney hoopla.

      We Loved Oak Plantation

      from

My husband and I stayed at Oak Plantation two years ago. We loved the accomodations, the pool, and the neighborhood feeling of the property. Our one bedroom condo had a full kitchen, living room and dining area. The furnishings were nice, clean, and comfortable. We were so impressed with the property, we purchased a time share week there!

      Another great stay

      from

We just got back from another trip to Oak Plantation. We will continue to go back. With a 2 year old, space and kitchen are a must for us when we travel. Large closet where we set up the portacrib! Was perfect both times. Never bothered about the timeshare speech and the price was excellent!

Great place to stay, 10 minutes to Mickey

      from

truly was a great place, with lots of amenities, a full efficiency for less than a motel room. Treated like gold. It is a time-share, although a very sweet lady (Dolly Wells) mentioned reasons to hear the sales pitch, and never bothered us after that, we did not attend same.

      Avoid this place.

      from

I was a guest of the Oak Plantation Resort in March 2002. Unfortunately, it was an unpleasant experience. My room was adjacent to the basketball court. Every night during my stay, I was subjected to noise and a bouncing basketball from that court until 11:00 p.m.I found it difficult to sleep and read.

The several times I called the front desk pleading for a new suite, my complaints were dismissed. I was told Oak Plantation was booked solid. Since my stay was limited and my itinerary all planned, it was impossible to find accommodations elsewhere. (The staff should have helped me find a suitable room in another establishment). I did not look forward to returning to Oak Plantation at night and tried to stay out as late as possible. On March 10, I got so fed up I went to a 9:30 showing at the local cinema in a very tired state.

This was my first trip to Florida and it was a terrible experience. Next tiime I will stay at a familiar brand like Holiday Inn.

      Nice accomodations; great value

      from

My husband and I stayed at Hampton Vacation Resort Oak Plantation last year. It was so much better than a hotel room. We had a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry in the one bedroom suite. It was really nice and the price was less than we would have paid for a standard hotel room. We will definately go back.

      Fabulous Place To Stay

      from

It is a fabulous place to stay. The condo was exactly what we needed. It was a great price and had a lot of anemities. Very clean. The grounds were kept very well. It was quiet and a wonderful place to vacation for the price. It was close enough to the main attractions but coze enough to just stay in and relax. The only dray back was that it was time share property. Although it is voluntary to participate in a time share sales meeting. If you came to relax and don't want to own a time share I DON'T RECOMMEND GOING TO THE SALES MEETING. THE FREE TICKETS TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS IS NOT WORTH IT TO SIT THROUGH THAT THING. In general I would come back every time I came to Orlando.

      Epcot

Some very tired people this morning and a day at Epcot ahead of us! Fortunately, experience had taught me to organise our fast passes the day before, so three of the good rides were locked in for us this afternoon. Everything else would have to be queued for. At Innovations James designed his own ride...he chose a jet car, and then he and his dad had to ride it in a simulator. After yesterday there were ...

      We need a rest

... that a hurricane front is coming through, and the weather for the rest of the week is storms and rain. So it felt a bit like we waisted a sunny day resting. I just don't think we could have done too much today. We had a light dinner of cereal - after a buffet breakfast and lunch I didn't think I was depriving the kids of food, then into bed for us. It's Lego Land ...

      Not quite a fortnight

... else to type about! I'm going to be documenting my adventures here, so feel free to read my erratic and disorganized thoughts. Look out for photos of the beautiful Australian landscape, pictures of kangaroos (I'm quite sure I'll have a kangaroo photo album by the time I return home), and lots and lots of selfies. Let's see if I can squeeze in another pointless post before I set off on a jet plane. I have nearly a fortnight to work on it, so it may just ...

... animals were out and about. The safari ride is a huge 30 passenger or so "jeep" type of vehicle. It travels in a huge loop through a wildlife safari. We saw hippos, elephants, lions, ostriches, gnu, zebras, assorted antelope, gorillas and flamingoes. The scenery is beautiful, you can tell Disney spares no expense on landscaping and creating that "magical feeling".

There are also a lot of walking paths as to get a better look at the animals. There is an ...

Internet Packages could be purchased which would reduce this cost marginally, but that is outrageous. Don't tell me it costs anything like that to provide Internet access on board ship. That's just a profiteering scam and Disney should be ashamed of themselves.

And then there's the phones. Don't even turn on your mobile phone. Disney charge $8 per minute, that includes dialling time, receiving ...
