... Orlando we will look forward to visiting this church again. Today just catching up on our week apart and planning where we go when we leave Orlando. Quite a change in the weather. ... and laser show set to music. It sounded great but there was already a very long line forming at 6:00. We certainly didn't want to stand around for 2 hours and decided we had enough and headed back to the comfort of our room.
All in all Hollywood Studios is fun but of the four parks it's my least favorite. There are four really great rides and the shows are mildly entertaining. It is a must to experience The Tower of Terror and StarTours but the rest of the park is just ...
We also went to Krustyland and went on the simpsons ride. An evil guy from the simpsons had taken over Krusty's ride and wanted to kill us. We almost got killed three times, went on two roller coaster and heaps of drops, not to mention going through the earth, all in this ride!
Our last ride was E.T where we had to save E.T's plant by taking him there. We came back home and had sausage risotto and baked bean.
... drove to Magnolia Plantation and Gardens to see an old time estate which was famous worldwide for it's gardens covering some 70 acres. The owner was a minister of religion, and he became sick with tb and was advised to get outside and do physical exercise to improve his health. He decided to get into gardening, and with an ex-slave as his helper/supervisor he developed a garden "that worked with nature instead of trying to organise nature".
... and had beautiful, clear, blue skies. We made good time, until we turned south, down the peninsula. We came down I-75, but I didn’t want to go on the turnpike (gotta pay a toll—or troll, not sure). So we exited the interstate at Ocala, and made our way to State Road 27. It is a gorgeous area here, just beautiful to look at, and we got our fill of it. We crawled through small towns and country hillsides, with a traffic light every 37 feet (all ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Oak Plantation Resort Kissimmee
I own timeshare at Oak Plantation and have been there twice since I first bought my week in 1999. Both times have been just heaven. The first year there it was just me and my wife, it was a perfect honeymoon. The second year there we had our 1 and a half year old daughter. She never even knew she left home, she loved it and we did too. The comfort is unparallel.
My wife & I stayed at Oak Plantation in July and found it a great place to stay. We usualy use a friens villa but it was not available. So we stayed at Oak Plantation. The condo was first class and the staff were great. Loved the place and would recomend it to anyone.
What A Great Vacation!
We had the best vacation ever! Thanks to the Oak Plantation Resort. When we arrived, we asked that our accomodations be changed so that we could have a lower unit. Everyone at check in was so accomodating and did so without delay. The next morning due to our washer/dryer unit not functioning, we requested a room change. Well, the new unit was so spacious and simply beautiful!! We couldn't believe the value. And so close to everything...not just the parks but the restaurants and shopping stores....and a super Walmart to boot! We met many nice families by the pool every night which made the difference when traveling with 2 busy boys. All in all, we can't wait to return for a week of relaxation!!!
My husand and I spent 5 days at Oak Plantation and have no complaints at all. The facilities were clean and the staff attentive. The rooms were a nice size and the pool and hot tub a good way to relax. I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a nice secluded place to take your family away from all the disney hoopla.
We Loved Oak Plantation
My husband and I stayed at Oak Plantation two years ago. We loved the accomodations, the pool, and the neighborhood feeling of the property. Our one bedroom condo had a full kitchen, living room and dining area. The furnishings were nice, clean, and comfortable. We were so impressed with the property, we purchased a time share week there!
Another great stay
We just got back from another trip to Oak Plantation. We will continue to go back. With a 2 year old, space and kitchen are a must for us when we travel. Large closet where we set up the portacrib! Was perfect both times. Never bothered about the timeshare speech and the price was excellent!
Great place to stay, 10 minutes to Mickey
truly was a great place, with lots of amenities, a full efficiency for less than a motel room. Treated like gold. It is a time-share, although a very sweet lady (Dolly Wells) mentioned reasons to hear the sales pitch, and never bothered us after that, we did not attend same.
I was a guest of the Oak Plantation Resort in March 2002. Unfortunately, it was an unpleasant experience. My room was adjacent to the basketball court. Every night during my stay, I was subjected to noise and a bouncing basketball from that court until 11:00 p.m.I found it difficult to sleep and read.
Nice accomodations; great value
My husband and I stayed at Hampton Vacation Resort Oak Plantation last year. It was so much better than a hotel room. We had a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry in the one bedroom suite. It was really nice and the price was less than we would have paid for a standard hotel room. We will definately go back.
Fabulous Place To Stay
It is a fabulous place to stay. The condo was exactly what we needed. It was a great price and had a lot of anemities. Very clean. The grounds were kept very well. It was quiet and a wonderful place to vacation for the price. It was close enough to the main attractions but coze enough to just stay in and relax. The only dray back was that it was time share property. Although it is voluntary to participate in a time share sales meeting. If you came to relax and don't want to own a time share I DON'T RECOMMEND GOING TO THE SALES MEETING. THE FREE TICKETS TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS IS NOT WORTH IT TO SIT THROUGH THAT THING. In general I would come back every time I came to Orlando.
