Helpful staff, rooms are spacious with a modern look.

If you want to stay at a nice yet economical resort, this is definitely the place to stay! Hotel is beautiful! And only a 5 minute walk from the beach. While you are not around the nightlife, it's only a short cab ride away. This resort is at the end of the strip but has everything you need around it. Not to mention the breakfast that is included is a buffet breakfast that has everything you can think of. The service was amazing and I couldn't ask for anything more! A must stay!

Historical Traveler Reviews Novotel Phuket Resort Patong
we stayed at the novatel resort in april 2006 and enjoyed it immensely! the staff were courteous and the room was lovely even tho we didn't have a fantastic view. the grounds and the restaurants were perfection. the workers down near the beach are working hard to get the promenade looking good again after the tsunami and when i next visit phuket and patong beach, which i definitely will, i'm sure it will look great.
Fantastic Novotel Phuket/The Hotel To Stay!
We have just returned from a great 3 days stay in Phuket at the Novotel, Phuket Resort.
The resort hotel is built on a gradual hill slope. As such, a spectacular view of the sea shore and yonder can be have from many parts of the hotel; the lobby ( you can sit on a comfy sofa and watch the sunset), the restaurants, the rooms and public areas of the hotel.
Novotel Phuket is simply fantastic! The staff accorded great personalised caring service, the magnificent, spacious landscape garden, cascading waterfalls, 3 pools surrounded by lavish greenery with the gushing waterfalls nearby, as you swim. We felt we were in a tropical paradise.
At the restaurant, aside from the daily generous breakfast buffet, nightly there were special theme nights featuring fresh catch from the Andaman seas and Italian food night, etc.
There are daily guest activities organised by Novotel, such as batik painting, scuba diving, simple Thai cooking, aerobic at the gym.
The guest room is a five star set up. It is spacious, luxuriously designer appointed with thoughtful guest amenities to ensure ultimate comfort.
The resort is in a quiet private spot away and yet within easy reach of all the shopping and entertainment Patong locale.
Transport to other beaches and to Phuket town can be hailed at the entrance.
The beautiful Patong beach is right at the entrance of the Novotel Resort, you just cross over.
Novotel is difficult to leave behind. As the staff bid us farewell, we promised them we will return. And many times more.
Rooms with a view
The resort is set high on a hill on the northern end of Patong Beach. The room was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Our glorious view was north from the hotel, but many rooms also face south along Patong Beach. The good sized balconies are wonderful of an evening. Staff here are fantastic. They are all friendly, happy, and go out of thir way to make your stay enjoyable. I recommend you get the breakfast included in your stay. It is nothing short of amazing. We have stayed in many hotels in Asia but this one's breakfast is close to the best ever. Our block of rooms had wifi access, if your into that sort of thing - handy to send those emails back home. Three tiered pools are great, there is nothing like a pool with a view!!!
One word of advice - if you have even the slightest bit of trouble with stairs, this hotel is NOT for you. It is set high on a hill and is a really long haul up from the beach. If you are coming in a TukTuk or Taxi, they will take you right up to the reception area (about half way up the hill) or you can call up for the hotel's own shuttle to come down and get you (the guys that drive it are hilarious, really wonderful guys)but if you are just walking back from the beach, it can be quite a climb. The whole hotel is on the hillside so pretty much anywhere you want to go is either up or down a hill.
Overall, a great hotel in a great location
Novotel Coralia Phuket.. Awesome!!
We stayed at the Novotel from the 9th November to 16th Novemver. All i can say is what an awesome hotel! The breakfast was outstanding, the rooms were beautifully decorated, the three tiered pools were stunning. I have nothing but praise for this hotel and would really recommend the Novotel to anyone from the young to the old, single to couples. It is situated on a small hill which is perfect as it is slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Patong beach. I will definitely stay there again when visiting Phuket.
My husband and I were only here 3 days but we wished that we could have spent more time here. Loved the orchid on the pillow each evening when we returned to the room. The pool was fabulous and the hotel was right on the beach. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the breakfast each morning. Just down the hill from the hotel there is a great little restaurant called Zaab on the beach. The best food we had the entire time we were in Thailand (20 days).
Stay at the Novotel was fantastic!
I stayed with my family at the Novotel Coralia Resort for a week in July 05 and we could not have been happier with the resort. The Novotel has a great location because it is far enough away from Patong Beach to be quiet and relaxing (no hustle and bustle, nightlife) but only a short ride in a tuk-tuk (or a long walk if you're fit) to go shopping or have dinner, which we did several times. Another great thing about the Novotel's location which I don't think many people think of is that on all of our tours, we were the last hotel to be picked up in the morning and the first one to be dropped off at night, so we wasted no time sitting on tour buses.
The staff were absolutely lovely and always really happy to help. The rooms were average size and standard but they were very clean and ours had a great view. Our only complaint was that our shower was not operating properly, but the problem was fixed promptly and without fuss. It is true that there are many stairs in the resort but our room was very close to reception area, pools, restaurants etc so it wasn't really a problem. The seafood restaurant on site was fantastic, although the prices are higher than eating in Patong. The pool bar is also relaxing, we particularly enjoyed happy hour with half price cocktails. Perhaps we are easily impressed as this was our first overseas holiday but we did have a great stay here and would recommend it in a second.
Stayed there for a week. Very nice hotel with excellent location and views. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The Thai Restaurant offers great food and is very nicely decorated.
After the tsunami
we stayed 5 nights in march 2005. patong was still recovering from the killer wave and the hotel was not very full. heard figures of 30% occupancy rate. found staff extremely friendly and helpful, food and drinks inexpensive for this type of hotel. nice view from pool or lobby and from your room if you happen to have a seaview room. rooms were clean and comfortable but maybe need some refurbishing. only one restaurant was open (2 closed) maybe due to low occupancy. hotel is located on hillside and that means lots of steps and no elevator. definitely not for wheelchairs or if trouble walking. might stay there again.
A bit disappointed
On the website and tourist books (we booked whilst travelling) this hotel looked great. Its high on the north end of Patong which is great and totally unaffected.
Its just a bit old and tired. The three tierd swimming pools are wonderful but the resturants (ones closed) were empty and the place was just a bit too quiet. The rooms are dated and really need updating and you can really tell. We had to upgrade as the deluxe wasnt at all. Views are wonderful though.
We tried to look past the fact it was a 'Novotel' but it lived up to its disappointing tired reputation.
I wouldnt go again.
Great view from the pool
Spent 8 nights at the Novotel Coralia Phuket in April 2004. This was our second visit to Patong Beach. Resort about 2.5 km from main shopping area, set on a hill with a commanding view of the bay area. Three pools on different levels, all with magnificent views of the bay. Lush grounds as you come to expect in SE Asia. Rooms have seen better days and in general need a makeover. Anyone suffering from ill health, or with mobility problems, look somewhere else, as the hilly nature of the resort presents guests with many steps from top to bottom. We had 200 steps from main street to our room and we were in a central location. Great breakfast buffet but other theme nights were dissappointing. Seafood restaurant has won awards but in 8 nights we couldn't see any diners there at all. Would stay somewhere else if visiting Patong again.
