Well, we safely delivered our motorhomes back - with one little hiccup for Ben then caught our minibus taxi to Frankfurt Airport Hotel. Time to catch a train to a shopping mall - we both need extra luggage to bring back our "treasures". On a whim, while travelling back through the airport we decided to confirm our early morning flight to Venice (9 o'clock at night by now!) HORROR!! We were at ...

There's a fancy gondola that takes people up and down, but you can also walk up the 587 steps if you're keen, or ride up on a ...

... nice things about being on this side of the island is all the different views looking over the crater. Depending on where they are located, they have a slightly different view and some you can see down to one of the places like Ammoudi on the water.

Took the bus back down after walking a back route to the bus stop and enjoying more of the scenery of Oia. From Fira we walked back down to our room and fixed ourselves dinner.

... who work pay heavy taxes, they at least have some money on which to live. She knew a lot about the history of the island- the Cyclades islands are named that because they are a group of islands that surround the holy island Delos, thought to be the birthplace of Apollo. Thera ( aka Fira) is the capital of Santorini, the island known for its white steps going to the blue water. The distinguishing attributes of the island were created by volcanic activity.
