    ... board with me as the mini point breaks were gorgeous and perfect for long boarding.  More chill time on the beach and then we were on our way to Mon Repos, to hopefully see turtles hatching on the beach.  We weren't disappointed, we got to see a clutch of baby loggerhead turtles hatching on the beach and making their way to the sea to start their life (though only about 1 in 1000 make it to breeding age), and we even got to hold 2, literally the cutest little things ...

    ... we got chatting to the turtle team who told us about a nest in the beach & predicted hatches tonight. We took a peek at the nest just at the bottom of the steps to the beach. Nia rented a surf board for 24hrs so spent the afternoon surfing. The water was very warm - around 26C. At sunset we went to the turtle nest.
