Powder, Powder and more Powder!
Day 5 and It has barely stopped snowing. Beautiful fine dry powder. Not like snow I have seen before like the wet snow in Europe. This stuff is unbelievable. It is so fine and dry, it makes it tricky to make snowballs or snowman, but I am willing to forfeit them to experience skiing on clouds! Just tried the Onsen out! How often ...
Grand Hirafu, Niseko
... surprise'. A fantastic investment we made on the first day was to purchase a pair of waterproof outdoor gum boot things from the local hardware shop which have been essential for getting around Niseko in deep snow. So glad we are staying in an apartment right on the snow. Really great to ski in for lunch, warm up, have some chill out time and then head back out in the afternoon. We had coffee or drink at a place where they gave us the coffee cup. There's a huge bear (of course just specimen, not real one) in it. We then visited the house of music ...
The last day of the Spring Camp
5/20
The last day of the spring camp was the greatest day this week. I skipped two classes, "Eco and Modern" and Philosophy. Instead, I went to the field and did some manager work and we ran! We held hands together and we all ran with the players. That was the hardest thing that I'd done this year,I suppose. When we all finished running, we all(except for the players in the first grade) gathered and cried with joy and sadness of finishing this camp. I hadn't seen any ...
