... few episodes of the final season of Boardwalk Empire. (What a disappointment! )

However, once we arrived in Bangkok, we were at a bit of a loss. We had 12 hours to kill until our next overnighter to Chumporn. Yes, two overnight trains in a row. Great way to travel and save money on accommodation. So, we left our bags at the station with a Thai man with dreads who loved AC/DC and apparently Canadians because he gave us a huge discount ...

Well, after a long haul trip south, we arrived at Koh Tao around 3pm. Took a ride in the back of a truck to Chalock beach, which is a side beach and a little bit more relaxed than the main pier town. This was my first island experience in 2007 and it was good to be back. My though, it has grown. Used to be just 1 main road, a sleepy windy road. Now it's all businesses and shops all the way to the resort, and even ...

... with rain all afternoon so I didn't feel guilty and my 26 year old body can't quite bounce back from all nighters like it used to. On Saturday it was still raining and I was just about going crazy being stuck indoors! Thankfully at 1 it eased off and we rented a bike again and went for an explore of the east coast, most of which we spent in a 5 star resorts beach side restaurant drinking coffee, but hey there are worst places I can ...

      Chalok's curse

A travel blog entry by lukeandsarah on Aug 11, 2014

... But no, the usual eruptions occured, and by 7 am it had felt like a long and painful night. We were going nowhere, despite the day before deciding that we would leave today.

Sarah did a great effort and found an aircon/tv room nearby in JP Resort, Luke manfully made the walk, before collapsing and entering a fit of semiconciousness for 24 hours. Sarah spent half our life savings in 7-11, bringing medical. Curiously, she also did not do anything but ...
