    Toured some back roads from Niagara Falls to Speculator in the Adirondack mountains, saw some deer, 2 adults and three fawns. Lots of lakes, cottage country. Bought a larger bag for the rear carrier.....I know.. . . Rode till dark, stayed in a small town motel......very interesting. Went next door and had good ice cream. Stayed at Cedarhurst ...

    Some irritations resolved...

    ... to Pottsdam, no fuses in any auto parts stores… but we did stop at Dunkin. They snagged the rear window defogger fuse to use in the spot for hauling. So that’s done. Dan hooked up our new brake system, it worked. And we are off for a hike, Bear Mountain 3.4 miles up rocky and rooty steep incline to top and a peek a boo view of the Cranberry Lake. Dogs made it fine, Lilly in the lead, Margot trailing ...

    New York Drivers. What more to say?

    Mom and I ended up driving into the Adirondack Region before realizing that the little towns down the long high speed two lane roads dont have grocery stores. But a stop at the local Quick and Go gave us the nuts and drinks we needed so we continued deep into the heard of the Adirondacks.

    ... as I had not expected to go three days in the woods, I had sent some of my outdoor gear already home with my brother. I was really mad at myself for having sent my waterproof camera home with my brother as it would have been perfect for the hike. So instead I had to take my big DSLR camera. Well, fortunately my host family had lots of outdoor gear, so my host mom and I were well equipped.

    ... where they were, only that they seemed to be at two different parts of the lake and they were calling back and forth between each other.
