We paddled down to have a look but the sunset got wrapped up in heavy clouds hovering low over the hills and so we will give it another go in the morning when the first light of day coming from the east should make it glow in spectacular fashion.

        ... there to look at them. They were having a ski jumping event going on. Little did we know that they use these ski jumps in the summer by watering them down. They had a meet going on in the smaller jumps where they land in a pool. That was fun to watch.

        One a trip organized by the Mount Holyoke Outing club, I climbed my first hike ever! Day one we climbed Owls peak, approximately a 4 hours hike. Day 2, we climbed Mt. Phelps (the 36th/46th highest peaks in the Adirondacks) took almost 8-9 hours. It was certainly worth the view at the top, more so at Owls Peak due to the foliage. Although, Mount Phelps truly felt like an accomplishment with it being such an excruciating and long hike. ...
