... each block all the local taxi drivers were yelling and screaming abuse at him that he seemed to shrug off. It was one of those moments when we looked at each other am wondered are we about to be setup. Much to our surprise he took us to a taxi a few block away and organised transport through to the next town, yes it could have went either way there for a while but lucky for us it was the positive way. We managed to convince the taxi driver to take us all the way ...

Back along the coast we stopped at the Pelican Bar, a precarious looking wooden hut on stilts that served up beers and local food. It was also an excellent place for snorkelling and watching the stingrays in the crystal clear water.

On Monday, the others had work/school so we headed off for the north coast to the tropical village of Port Antonio and some glorious, yet still un-touristy beaches with more perfect blue water.

However, I must tell you, looking out at the view and the sparkling blue waters of this villa's private swimming pool, I had to wonder why in the world anyone would ever want to watch television? Sanwood Villa is absolutely perfect for a family vacation ...

There is no hanging around whatsoever and it is no coincidence that the port authority is extremely strict about anybody from the ship not getting in the way of the shore side operation.
