... to Hat-Yai.

Next i went to Hat Lampam beach. This beach lines Songkhla lake which was featured in the last blog entry as the largest natural lake in Thailand. The area is for recreational purposes and is very serene and quiet. It was great walking around this area. I took a few walks along both sides of the beach as far as I could go without hitting the rocks, I relaxed in a hammock for a while until I was afraid that the rope imprint on my bum would become permanent, and I had a few nice meals in between. ... towards Westerners? The driver just pockets the extra. Besides that we still have 7 more months to go and have been caught too many times. Our old reading spot was not an option as there were too many kindle curious children so we followed a track alongside the river to see what else there might be. 10 minutes later we discovered a really nice park. ... and rescue us. He had a bit of engine trouble and was a bit temperamental with him but he managed to get to us. In Dad's excitement of being rescued, he got over confident and launched himself into the dinghy causing him to land on his back in the bow much to the amusement of the rest of us. There was once again more engine problems but they were resolved but we did get the ores out just incase.

No fins (sharks, dolphins, whales) yet!
