... The Magnificent Mile of Michigan Ave was very impressive for some of it's amazing old buildings. The famous Giordano deep dish Pizza was different and maybe not for those used to the traditional style, however, in my opinion, tasty! The thing about food in America is size. John Hancock Tower, a Sears Tower lookalike on the north of town that looks over the city and lake and has what are commonly recognised as being the best views of Chicago (better than Sears itself, which we did anyway - see tomorrow). Never knew they could squeeze so many people into economy. Only person I could see who looked at all in proportion to their seat was the tiny four year old girl across the aisle.

Woke up at 6am on the farm and got everything packed and finalized. Said goodbye to everyone and we left just after 7am! Susan was kind enough to drive me all the way up to Washington airport. Thankfully because it was Memorial Day the traffic was very light so it made it a quicker journey than if we had to sit in traffic.
