Historical Traveler Reviews Ox-Ford Farm Bed & Breakfast Inn Weaverville

    Did not stay!

    from

i booked into this hotel after reading the mosty ok reviews on trip advisor.10 seconds after entering the room we realised what a teriible mistake we had made. The place was truely awfull ! We immediatly picked up our bags and left. How it managed to get any positve reviews at all beats me. Do not be fooled by these false postings it really is not a niceplace.Do not stay here.

    Great Hotel

    from

My family and myself just returned from another great weekend in Florida. Even thou the weather was a bit cool this past weekend we still enjoyed our stay at Napoli Belmar. The heated pool saved the day! The hotel is very comfortable and is exactly what we look for when we go on vacation. The rooms are very clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable and allow you to get a good nights sleep. The rooms at Napoli Belmar surround the pool and deck area. It is very convienient to walk right out to the deck and pool area. The pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and there are some tables and chairs on the deck so you can enjoy having breakfast , lunch or dinner poolside. There is a BBQ available as well. My son gives the pool a BIG thumbs up. It is well maintained and kept at a nice warm temperature. The hotel is literally a one minute walk away from the beach, you can actually see the beach from the hotel. My wife and son actually stayed at the hotel about four years ago when our house in Canada was being built. I was obviously concerned for their safety as I remained back home for work. After visiting my family on one of those weekends I felt relieved. I can tell you that it is a safe place and a quiet place where everyone seems to respect eachother. Since that stay we have visited quite often . I have spoken to many people who have stayed there and they all seem to say that they return there every year. It is not uncommon to hear the guests comment on how comfortable it is there and how nice the owners are. This is a 'family run' business and there is something to be said for that. If you require anything to make your stay more comfortable you just ask and the owners go out of their way to provide you with it. Angela and her husband always go out of their way and are always willing to take the time wether it is pointing out good restaurants to eat at or good places to visit in Florida. I have brought a couple of my friends down for some weekend getaways and even they have commented on the friendliness of the owners and what a nice place to stay it is. I look forward to many more visits!

Nothing appealing about this older motel

    from

This older motel provides basic accomodations at a cheap price. If all you require is a cheap room to sleep in, this might be okay for you. The room furnishings are old, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been updated since the 50's. There is nothing fantastic about the pool area. It is a basic oblong small pool, with no landscaping. It is not "steps" from the beach-it is a couple of blocks. I would never go back there. I only wish I had taken pictures of the room and pool.

Great place - close to beach and downtown !

    from

Whoever is looking for place at the beach in Ft Lauderdale must stay in Napoli Belmar !!! Very nice and private place with excellent service and management. Very very nice and clean rooms, with beautiful and private heated pool area. Just few steps from the beach. This was the second time we stayed there and for sure it is not the last time !!!

Loved The Price - Loved The Location - Loved The Pool & Atmosphere!

    from

Tucked Away Just 2 Blocks from the Atlantic Ocean...You will find the fantastic Napoli-Belmar Resort.

This quaint hotel offers an exceptional value. The rooms are clean and fresh, and very resonably priced . The air conditioning is quiet, and the cable-television offers tons of channels! Kitchen has nice amenities as well.

Napoli-Belmar has two nice pools (which are always heated to perfection) and a spacious courtyard area to socialize. If Bocce Ball is your game, you have come to the right place. Its a great place to bring your family for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere that is great for all ages alike!

You can take a nice morning or evening walk just two short blocks up to the world-famous Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

There are many nice shops and restaurants along A1A to visit which are closing in walking distance to the Napoli-Belmar.

Each time we visit the Ft. Lauderdale area, we know exactly who to call -- Napoli-Belmar Resort on Birch Street in Ft. Lauderdale. We have been pleased each and every time - over 5 years and counting!

    Check out their cool website.

    Friendly and well placed

    from

I stayed at the Napoli Belmar on my annual holiday in Ft Lauderdale and never looked back, I booked via the hotel website from the UK and as soon as I arrived I knew I'd made the right decision, the location is great (2 blocks from the beach, 10 mins walk to Beach place, 15 mins walk to the mall and 5 mins walk to the water bus stop), the rooms are spotless & well appointed and the owners are the most friendly & helpful people you will ever meet.

This is not a chain motel and its so much better for it, my only choice for Ft Lauderdale.

    Will always come back

    from

I try to spend some vacation time in Florida ever year and when I do; my favorite place to go is the Napoli Belmar Resort in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. The owners are terrific. They are very attentive and extremely accommodating. The resort has very nice efficiencies; clean, well kept and competitively priced. What I find terrific about this resort is that if you're the kind of person who likes to eat out and try different things; you don't need to go far for great restaurants. Everything you could want is only minutes away. But if you're like me and you like to prepare most of your own meals everything you need is right there, it's almost like a home away from home. I found myself needing some kitchenware once, rather than go out and purchase what I needed at the local grocery store, all I had to do was ask and I immediately received what I needed. It's all those little things that make a vacation great. Top that off with the two Barbecues' they maintain for their guests! What else is their?

The resort is just steps away from the ocean, where I like to spend a lot of my time. But if you're not too keen on salt water, the Napoli has not one, but two pools which are very well maintained. On those rare occasions when the wind is a bit much on the beach, both pools are surrounded by lawn chairs and tables, so no interruption in your sun time there.

Looking for a little extra fun while getting a tan? The Napoli has a bocce ball court that simply becomes addictive; it's also a terrific way to get to know some of the other guests.

The resort is situated in a great location; minutes away from all kinds of shopping, from groceries to some of the most high-end retail outlets. Everything from A to Z that you could ever want is only minutes away so you're not spending all your vacation time driving.

I like to relax in the evenings, and a great way to do that is by taking a walk down the A1A strip to the nearby clubs and restaurants. A few more steps and your in the heart of downtown where you can browse all the nice shops and café's.

What makes a vacation great for me, isn't only the places you see and things you do, but the people who look after your needs while you're there. The Napoli is just one of those places you want to keep coming back to. I'm looking forward to my next vacation!

    Clean, Friendly, Convenient

    from

Reserving a room through the Napoli Belmar's website was easy and I received a quick response from Angela, who also greeted me when I arrived.

My room was spotless and pleasant. The Mediterranean tile decor was both attractive and practical, giving the room a bright, clean sense. The beach is a short two block walk and several restaurants and attractions such as the popular Beach Plaza - containing numerous restaurants and shops - are within walking distance. Especially convenient for me as I did not have a car.

There are also two pools and a barbecue area on the premises.

A unique place to stay and make friends

a great place to stay and make friends that you will see again and again.

    Napoli Belmar

    from

The Motel is very nice. We stayed there for 2,5 weeks and enjoyed the time there. We stayed in an apartment. It was very nice, clean, comfortable and quite. In the kitchen you can find whatever you nee. Napoli Belmar also offers a big barbecue place and washing machines. There are three nice pools, where you can relax. It is only a two-minutes walk to the warm-sandy beach. The owners are so helpfully and so nice. They helped us planning our tours and gave us important information four our trips discovering Fort Lauderdale and South Florida. The owners can also speak italian. A bus (no 11) is running every half hour into the city (1$) (the bus stopp is only a three-minutes walk far away). It is only a five minutes walk to the next small supermarket. I really can recommend it.!

Somehow, United screwed up when they fixed our connection on our flight to Fort Lauderdale and they were flagged as not using their ticket. No wonder the cruise line couldn't check them in properly.
