When I was planning the trip I was asked if I would be willing to do a gig "off the planned route" the client is Florida based, I am Florida based and so I agreed to do it. I am glad I did. Great hosts, great audience and a great trip.
Getting on a plane (which I do every week for work) after being on my bike for two days was an …
After a filling breakfast of bagels and fruit, we stocked up on lunch for the trip (very cheap sushi for me, its like 5 dollars for a massive tray of sushi). Back into the lovely PT Cruiser and heading out of Key West for one last time we waved goodbye to the tacky stores and millions of Shell Worlds (guess what they sell). Our trip to Naples took …
Downtown Naples loves to keep the snowbirds entertained. For a small city there's lots to do. This time we ventured to 5th Avenue to enjoy an exotic car show. According to one owner, Ferraris come in 77 different shades of red. Who knew? All I can say is boys and their toys. I only saw 2 female drivers in the whole bunch!

... walk on the beach. We also stopped at the Shell Museum and then took the Wildlife Drive through the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge.
Tonight we had a barbecue prepared by our staff. Hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, coleslaw and broccoli salad and chips, ice cream and cookies for dessert. Very nice evening. Tomorrow is travel day to Homestead.
Today we made it to Fort Myers to visit our friends Pat and Dar.
They have a lovely spot in Lehigh Acres and are having a well deserved two week break from the stresses of home.
They live in an absolutely gorgeous spot and we are grateful to have had the chance to visit. Their hospitality was second to none and we enjoyed every minute.

The Waldorf Astoria Naples does not enjoy the opulence of other pro properties in the Waldorf family but it is certainly the service I have come to expect. Food was outstanding and the service was immediate. I was in for a speaking engagement and was out the next day but my stay was enough for me to recommend it.
